Varric's P.O.V
Dropping the feather pen down I twisted my wrist to rid the cramps from writing so much. Solas was heading to his study behind me, but I looked up and smirked at him just in time that he had to stay and talk with me before he could pass.
"So... are we expecting young Inquisitors now Solas?"
He sighed and looked at the ground.
"No, child of the stone. The Inquisitor and I have done no such thing to result in offsprings. There's a possibility once Corypheus is dealt with there will be but for now, no. So please refrain from questioning me every time you see me."
"Aww, I bet you they'll be cute! Can't wait, I'm their uncle Varric, I just have to be. " I can imagine little chuckles and little Lavellan's running about. Tall, thin, minds too full, way too skilled with a sword.
"You aren't related but that is up to The Inquisitor, not me."
"Aw alright. I better be an uncle, though, I've always wanted to be an uncle." I can imagine that, not sure if it's a good thing.
"Well I am going to continue to study, I shall leave you to writing whatever you were writing when I came along."
"A romance novel about you and The Inquisitor."
"Varric you promised you wouldn't write that!" I scowled at him.
He chuckled as he said "I'm kidding I'm kidding. I'm writing letters to friends of mine in Kirkwall."
He sighed. "Goodbye." He quickly walked to his study and I returned to my writing.
"Varric, may I have a moment?" I looked up to find Josephine towering me, clipboard in hand.
"Of course, need help with dealing with nobles again?" I turned in my chair to face her.
"No, I came to tell you we shall be celebrating this evening. All of Skyhold and a few members of Orlais court will be attending. We will be celebrating the defeat of Kaltenzahn and The Inquisitor gaining her title." She shifted her weight once she finished speaking.
"Alright then. Thanks."
"Farewell." She turned and left before I could say goodbye.
I continue to write until I noticed guests arriving. Piling all the papers together I rushed to my chambers to store them away. When I returned, Skyhold was overflowing with guests. I decided to head over to the food table, there weren't many people over there. Yet.
Not too long later, Solas walked over to me.
"Well, Solas? Am I an uncle yet?"
"No, Varric. You are not."
"Aw, crushing my dreams."
"You asked if you were yet. I said nothing about you not being one in the future."
"My dreams are restored, thanks, Solas." I patted him on the back. "where's your sweetheart? Thought you'd both be off in a corner making out or something by now, possibly even be something innocent like dancing."
"She is still getting ready, as far as I am aware. And we would not be in a corner doing such thing."
"Oh sorry I was wrong, I meant middle of the crowd," I smiled as he frowned.
"Nor would we be doing that, child of the stone."
"Bless the Maker, look at her!"
He turned to see The Inquisitor stepping out of the hallway to her bedchambers, and his jaw dropped. She was wearing a black dress that trailed slightly behind her, almost showing her full shoulders. The sleeves reached her elbows, the waist of the dress was as small as her own, the skirt billowed out beneath her, and her long hair was tied up in a bun. As she stepped up the stairs to the throne I could see above her ankles she wore her armoured leggings, just as Cassandra had done. Everyone's eyes were on her. She cleared her throat before her voice broke the silence that followed her entrance.
