Lavellan's P.O.V

"Inquisitor please, don't. You don't understand the powers of the well, you don't know what you will be doing to yourself. If someone has to drink it let it be Morrigan." Solas was begging me. I was standing by the well, he was a few steps lower than me. We were looking each other in the eye.

"Why does it matter, Solas?" I took a step down to him. He lifted his hand to rest against my arm.

"Because you don't know what you're getting into. You will be a slave to Mythal. Please..." His voice trailed off. I could see the fear in his eyes, it hurt to see him like this.

"Morrigan," I said without breaking eye contact. I pulled him closer to me and hugged him tightly to apologize.

"Thank you, Inquisitor." Solas sighed. He slowly let go of me and we turned to face Morrigan.

"Thank you, that was a good decision," Morrigan said as she stepped slowly down into the middle of the well. She fell to her knees and there was a flash of blue, I covered my eyes with my arm. I felt the wave of water go over me. I pulled my arm away to see Morrigan lying in the center of the well. I ran to her and helped her stand.

"I feel weird, but I feel powerful at the same time, 'tis strange. Oh, the memories are never ending! It will take me years to sort through them all."

"We'll deal with that later Morrigan, we need to leave and get back to Skyhold. Can you walk?" I held her by her elbow.

Corypheus had walked into the courtyard. I saw him turn and stare as he took in the scene before him. His precious prize was stolen, yet again, by me.

"YOU." He bellowed. He started to fly towards us.

"The Eulvrian!" Morrigan yelled as she activated it. We ran towards it, Morrigan stood to wait for Solas and I to go through before she followed, closing the Eulvrian leaving Corypheus on the other side.

We stumbled out of the Eulvrian to Skyhold where Morrigan's Eulvrian was kept. Solas offered me his hand to help me up from where I had fallen out of the Eulvrian. Once I was standing again, neither of us dropped our hands.

"We must speak to the advisors about what happened at the Temple of Mythal," I announced.

"I will return to my study, you and Morrigan go, Inquisitor since she was the one to absorb the well of sorrows." Solas slowly let go of my hand and kissed me on the cheek before he left the room. Morrigan and I left for the war council room shortly after he did.

Later, after Morrigan and I spoke to my advisors about the Temple of Mythal, I found myself wandering the lower hallways of Skyhold. It was quiet here, left alone with my thoughts. I thought about going to the temple, following the rituals, speaking with Abelas, the look in Solas' eye when he begged me not to drink from the well. It hurt when I saw the fear and the pain in his eyes, I never want to see that look ever again. I shook my head as I walked up the stairs. I opened the door to see Solas walking past. He stopped when he saw me.

"Vhenan"

"Solas." I turned to focus on shutting the door.

"Would you like to walk with me?"

"I'd like to." He held out his arm for me and I took it. He led me to his study, then to outside to walk along the wall. It was cold and windy, I found myself leaning closer to him for warmth. I had my head resting against his shoulder, our arms linked as we walked.

"Shall we return to my study? We can discuss what happened at the Temple of Mythal, or whatever you wish to speak of in peace." Solas offered, noticing that I was shivering from the cold.
