There comes a time when you feel trapped. There is no way to run, to ignore your surroundings. Why would anyone want to ignore his or her surroundings? May be because the person didn't wanted that, the things, the place, the people surrounding him or her.

Preeta was in the same trap. She wanted to run but she couldn't. She couldn't actually ignore it now. Her life. Her new life.

Being trapped. She was definitely feeling it. She thought about how Karan used stalk her, chase her, leave his friends to spy on her even in her college. It was so unacceptable, so insulting. But no, this was worse. Now, was worse. She was trapped for her whole life. She was now tied to him for eternity.

Her eyes roamed at all the relatives. Everyone was busy in watching the games the bride and groom had to play. The relatives had complimented her for her beauty as she had changed into a red-blue velvety lehenga that her mother's sister had gifted her in blessing. She was disgusted by all the drama of the relatives, she had been handling since her entry in this house. She had no grudge towards her new family except him. But she didn't wanted all the games, rituals and fun. She just wanted to be left alone in a room where she could curl up like an infant and cry endlessly on her fate.

All the rituals had ended slowly. Most of the games were won by Preeta. It was unexpected for her. She was in aggression, frustrated because of him. But it only made Karan excited. He was enjoying the attention, teases, naughty comments, the relatives were giving to the couple.

Finally after some time, Kritika came to help Preeta in getting up from the seat. "It's time for you to rest." She whispered in Preeta's ear making her hesitant. Preeta realised that this time Karan wasn't accompanying her. She felt relief. But a little part of her knew, what was about to come.

While climbing up the stairs, Kritika spoke in cheerfulness. "You know I am so glad to have you in our family, bhabhi." Preeta gave her a side smile. "Now, this one is bhai's room." Kritika twisted the knob and opened the door for Preeta. Keeping in mind the space and respect, she didn't enter in the room. Preeta's cheeks had already redden seeing the flowery decoration of the bed room.

"Okay, so you may rest now. I have already kept your clothes on the chair."

Preeta nodded and was observing the big luxury bed room. Kritika was about to leave when she felt Preeta holding her wrist. "Thank you, Kritika." who turned and observed Preeta's face.

She knew how Preeta had got controlled and forced by her stubborn brother. Still she had agreed for this marriage. All over, Kritika was very happy for her brother. She knew Preeta had a great heart and she would definitely forgive and understand Karan one day.

"Your welcome, bhabhi. All the best." Saying this Kritika started walking as soon as Preeta left her wrist gently. She gave her a final smile before shutting the door behind her.

All the best.

Preeta clutched her lehenga tightly. She realised about the night. The time was coming near. In some moments, he would be here as her husband. Not only tonight, he would be here everyday. How would she tolerate his presence so regularly? She stepped ahead in the room looking around.

It was magnificent. The three of the walls were white while one was blue. In the middle of the wall, it had Karan's big photo. He was giving that signature smirk of his. Those dark brown eyes were staring back at him in delight. His hair were falling I his eyes. He looked young.

Must be of his college time, Preeta thought.

Looking away, Preeta noticed the furniture. The sofas, closet, everything was high class. But her gaze fell at the study table where she recognised something.
