Kritika walked towards the sofa while feeling empty. What happened last night was terrible. She never knew that her brother, who was crazy for his love of life, would himself tell her to leave. It was unfair for Preeta.

Here, she had thought that Pawan and his brother had changed. She shook her head at feeling so disgusted. She hated both of them. How dare they tried to break his brother's marriage! But then, she couldn't help but blame her brother only.

No matter how much someone try to break the bond, it's upon the trust and compatibility of the couple. It's upon them to stay unbreakable.

She used to adore this couple so much and she still did. She was hoping that her brother no matter what, loved Preeta. She knew that even if it was Preeta's fault, at last he would just give up and bring her back. Because he couldn't live without her. And if not, then she herself would go bring her back.

It had already been just one night. Even Mohan uncle asked her brother for so many times if he was sure to take Preeta back to her parent's some. His mother had started crying while Preeta was just staring at her husband, totally numb.

Even now, Kritika was hell worried about Preeta's state of mind. She must have felt heartbroken, she must have lost faith in love. She knew that her brother was just short-tempered, too much possessive.

But this was too much.

During breakfast, she hadn't even looked at him in anger, nor his own mother. They both ignored him. Even last night, she wasn't the one to pack her clothes, his mother wasn't the one to call Mohan uncle.

It was her dimwit, heartless, furious-brother.

At first, he had sat to eat but then, as if something hit him on head, he had stood up and left for the office. He didn't eat.

She knew her brother was suffering. Then, why did he push her away like this? Couldn't he just listen to her patiently? She was hiccuping, stuttering in fear. She was so fragile.

Since, that incident with local hooligans, Kritika hadn't been able to get normal. But it was Preeta who helped her. It was her only who talked to her, taught her to forget it but not before learning the lesson from the incident.

She had slowly started getting better and now, she wanted to thank her sister-in-law. But instead, she couldn't even argue in her favor. She couldn't even stop her.

From past minutes, she had been staring at the TV while thinking so deeply about last night. Clearly, Preeta had never lied and if she was late last night, then she was really late for genuine reasons.

Moreover, she got punished for being thoughtful. She wanted to cheer her by bringing things and she even took care to bring medicine for tai ji. Kritika couldn't help but sigh at feeling too bad.

She leaned back on the couch and saw something in her peripheral vision. She immediately turned her and noticed the bags on the couch. The maids must have put them on it while cleaning, since last night Preeta had left them to fall on the floor when she was too numb to hold anything.

She immediately reached for the three shopping bags and slid her hand in the first one.

Books! Watch!

Kritika's nostrils flared as she controlled to not cry. Damn! This girl surely knew, how to win hearts. How could she remember these little things?

She had just mentioned four days ago, that she had lost her favourite watch during that incident. About books, the doctor had told her to distract her mind to come out of the trauma and they all were the romance books, Kritika had always took interest in.
