The case was drawn out and I grew sick, lies after lies, questions after questions, and with the limited evidence it was really not looking good for me.

The court room's door opened and Mr Taylor's assistant came running in.

"We are going to win this case, look on this."  She said proudly, showing a video on her phone.

I recognized my house, and someone who looked strikingly similar to Tessi's boyfriend, Francis entering from the side door.

What the fuck?

"Where did you get this?" I questioned

"An anonymous tip just came in" She said

My hands became clammy, not only was I questioning the effectiveness of this new found evidence but I was now the target for prosecutors to taunt and tease in an effort to get me to confess my crime.

Mussi mad.

"I would like to bring additional evidence for this case." Mr Taylor stated.

One hour had passed and he was still trying to prove the legitimacy of the video, ultimately he was successful.

"As you can see..." He started and pointed to the time stamp of the video which had matched presumed time stamp of the murder.

This video was not real and I knew it, but I doubted that he did, so I decided against saying anything.

"Without substantial ballistic and forensic evidence on what actually occured inside the house, my client should not be wrongly  accused." he continued

Bloodclaat....him bad e.

I watched keenly as Mr Taylor argued in my defense, shutting down the prosecutors' statements one after the other, until one.

"We would like to call Forensic Pathologist, Miss Edena Forest to the stand." He said and a petite lady made her way to the front of the courtroom.

" Miss Forest, as a lady in your expertise, how would you describe the condition of Mr Brown and Miss Lewis' deceased body?" He asked her.

"As stated in the autopsy, Mr Brown and Miss Lewis both received multiple injuries before death including blunt force trauma, subgaleal hemorrhaging and many major abrasions." She replied.

Shit.

A murmur was spread across the court room and I looked over at Mr Taylor not knowing what would happen next.

"They are going to call you up again, confess to the assault and we'll get you the shortest time."Mr Taylor said to which I complied. Court was adjourned and it was left up to the sick justice system to determine my future.

After a couple of days , I struggled to retain the already little sanity I had, an immense feeling of failure came over me as an officer informed me that court was going to be resumed in the day to come.

On the day of resumption Mr Taylor spoke to me.

"I know the aim was to get you walking free  but given the circumstances, you and I both know that may not be possible." He said.

"Mr Taylor,  I am highly appreciative of the work you have done for me so far, I am aware of the challenges that have arose and I am confident that you will work on solutions. If I don't walk out of the courtroom as a free woman today, please keep your phone close to you, expecting a call when the time is right for my parole. " I said

" W-wow, Miss Tindale t-thank you for those kind words." he replied smiling

I laughed inwards....fassy.
