***Ramya's POV.***
I get ready in the simple blue and green printed long kurta and palazzo. I tie my hair in a single french braid and wear jhumkas. After draping a dupatta on one shoulder, I go down.
"I am ready, Mum." I say and see Mr. Verma reading a magazine on the couch, "Good evening."
"Good evening. And happy holi." He says.
"Happy Holi." I say and touch his feet, but he stops me and I smile.
We wait for Mum in a pleasing silence and she comes down in a green saree and there is a gajra around her elegant bun. She smiles and asks Mr. Verma with her eyes how she looks. He shows thumbs up to her and they continue talking through eyes.
"If you are both done talking with eyes, shall we go?" I ask, and they come out of their reverie.
"Yes." Mum says, "Is your family going to be there, Suku?"
"Yes but they will come late and we would be leave before them. But don't worry we will meet them tomorrow and I have already told them about you both." He assures us and I nod.
We drive towards the Malhotra and the thought of Reyansh again invades my mind. I mean, he is arrogant, sometimes rude, and so unpredictable, but with his family he is protective, caring and respectful. One of the reasons he behaves differently with me might be because I always irritate or tease him. But I love doing that because he scrunches his face in that cute way and pushes his specs up.
But Reyansh, as my life partner? Well, not a bad idea. I mean, his first wife left him because he refused to leave his family. And he is thinking about getting success on his own. That means one can depend on him. If I put forward good points, he might not deny my proposal or may laugh at me.
But the biggest reason to marry him would be his family. His family is modern and that can be said with the way they shower Mayra with so much love. Growing up, I also wanted a big family with many siblings and when I found it, I had to leave it behind.
But if a family as loving as Reyansh comes into my life, I won't deny getting married. I mean, life would be easier if something like that were to happen, but the major problem is still Reyansh. That man can not be convinced unless something major goes down and he is forced to marry me.
But that would be my last resort and I have enough time to convince him. Maybe.
"Welcome, Ruha Ji. How are you?" Kavya Aunty asks.
"I am fine. How are you?" Mum asks.
I greet Aunty and Uncle, then rush towards my sister and nephew.
"How is my cute sister and super cute Veer?" I ask as I kiss his chubby cheeks.
"We are fine. But tell me something. Is it true that your mother is in love with that man?" Mayra asks.
"Yes. They are super romantic. And don't go on with his strict looks. Mr. Verma is an amiable man." I say and look at the new toy which Veer showed me.
"Really? Well, they look perfect together." She says.
"They do." I say with a nod.
"How are you, Ramya? I heard you were going on dates." Shaurya Jiju asks me.
"Where did you heard that from?" I ask.
"What? You are going on dates." Mayra asks.
"I got to know from one of your dates." He says.
"Which one? Date No. 3 or Date No.4?" I ask.
"How many dates have you been to?" Mayra asks.
"Four only." I say, "And all were weird."
