***Ramya's POV.***

"Negotiation?" He asks and I nod, "Okay. What would it be about?"

"Seriously! We just talked about it." I say.

"I know, but exactly what should we negotiate about?" He asks.

"Rules." I say as I serve him some Alfredo pasta, "We need to discuss what is allowed in our relationship, especially the physical part of it."

"Okay." He says as he passes me matar paneer.

"So..." I say and look at him to say something more than okay.

He sighs then looks straight at me and says, "Before getting into this, I wanna ask something."

"Go ahead." I say.

"Do you have feelings for me?" He asks, and his blunt question almost makes me choke on the bite I just took.

"No." I say after swallowing it.

"Don't lie." He says, rolling his eyes.

"Fine. I do have some feelings for you. Come on, like you don't. Why would you kiss me if you felt nothing for me?" I ask.

"Feelings are accepted as long as they are not romantic, Ramya. I don't want you to get your hopes up and think that this could turn out to be a love match." He says.

"And how could you be sure that it wouldn't be in the future? How could you be sure that you won't fall for me? What if things turn out to be more than you had ever expected?" I ask with a raised brow.

"There is a big if in that question, Ramya. I don't know what will happen in the future, but I would definitely wish that you won't be the first one to fall in love." He says, making dread my feelings, which are growing into something that they shouldn't.

"We are way off the major topic, Reyansh." I say.

"What do you want?" He asks.

"In simple words, a normal relationship." I say.

"Normal doesn't suit you." He says with a small smile.

"I know. But I can get used to it." I say, and he looks at me for a few seconds.

"And what exactly does this normal relationship include?" He asks.

"Us getting to know each other better than before and maybe going ahead one kiss at a time." I say as I twirl my fork in my fingers.

"And..." He says.

"We should wait until I am totally comfortable to do it." I say.

"Okay. Anything else?" He asks.

"You would never deny me a kiss when I ask for one." I say.

"What would I get in return?" He asks.

"Whatever you want." I say.

"Think about your words clearly." He says with a teasing smile and I know somehow we are getting back to our normal.

"I will never back away from what I promise." I say.

"Then I guess you would be open to experiments." He says.

"Experiments? What kind of experiments?" I ask with a frown, then my eyes widen in astonishment, "You don't mean it physically by any chance, do you?"

"Get your mind out of the gutter, wife. I am talking about going on dates. That is the only way we could get to know each other better." He says, and I feel a little disappointed.
