***Reyansh's POV.***

I wake with a start and look around, only to find myself alone in the car. What the hell! Where is Ramya? The lights are off, but the GPS is on, which shows we are inside Rajasthan borders. How long have I been sleeping? No. First thing first. Ramya.

I open the car door but stop before opening it as I hear bark. I slowly open it so as not to hurt the small dog. It is a golden retriever and maybe still a baby. I look around to find its owner when I remember Ramya again. We are in the middle of the road and I get this weird feeling that something is wrong.

I look around the car, and the dog follows me with a bark. What does he want? Before I could go to shoo him away, I find Ramya's phone ringing near a tree on the side of the road. I run to it and pick it up. It's Ruha aunty.

"Where are you, dear? You know how worried I was when you didn't pick up my calls." She says.

"Hello, aunty. It is Reyansh here." I say.

"Reyansh. Where is Ramya? Why was she not picking up my calls?" She asks.

"She is sleeping, aunty. And we will be home in three hours." I say.

"Okay. But keep your phone on. It is night already, so be careful." She says.

"Okay, aunty. Bye." I say and hang up.

Ramya's phone is unlocked, so it shows a map, which means she was trying to find a petrol pump. If so, why is her phone lying here, and where is she? Did something happen to her?

"Can you just please be silent for one moment?" I ask the dog, who is barking continuously.

He whines and I feel guilty. I sit on my knees and pat him. Maybe he is hungry. I will give him food, then go off to find Ramya. I take out some biscuits and put it on a stone but he doesn't go to take it. He then takes a whiff and finds the biscuit, which confuses me. I wave my hand in front of his eyes and realize he is blind. He barks again after gobbling up the biscuits, but this time he is pointing towards the trees.

"Hey! Do you know where Ramya is?" I ask him, only to slap my forehead the very next second, "How can he answer?"

But maybe he understands me because he whiffs the air again and runs in a direction. He stops at a distance and barks. Fine, I will go with his instincts, as I have nothing else to depend on. I just hope Ramya is not in any grave danger. Please Maha Kaali, she is your sincere devotee, so keep her safe till I reach her.

With that prayer, I follow the dog. I don't know how long I was following him, but with every step I prayed that Ramya was safe because if something were to happen to her, I didn't know what I would do.

I see a light in the distance and the dog goes silent too. I scratch his fur and tell him to stay behind the tree. He is smart because he sits down there. I walk silently close to the area and stop to observe.

"We got so much loot today. Boss would be happy." One man says.

"Yes. And along with that, we also arranged his entertainment for tonight. I bet we will get rewarded well. Otherwise, the way we lost that money in the bet, I almost thought we were going to die today." Another one says.

"But did you check if anyone else was in the car?" The first man asks.

"No. But I know there was no one. Why would she get out of the car alone if she had someone? Is she still struggling?" The second one asks.

"She was kicking like hell after I lost my knife. So I have to drug her. I hope the Boss comes soon." The first one says and I don't feel good with the way he says.
