***Ramya's POV.***

"You want to murder her? When?" I ask and he looks at me like I have gone crazy.

"I meant to say that I want to move on and for that I have to talk with Jagvi and give our past relationship a closure which it needs." He says.

"So you are saying that there are still some lingering feelings?" I ask.

"No. There are no feelings, but there is this guilt I feel every time I spend time with you." He says and my eyes open widen. "No. I enjoy spending time with you. It is just that I feel that you give me your all, but I am only giving you a small amount of it. I don't want my past to loom over my future. A future I want with you, Ramya. And for that, I have to bid my previous relationship goodbye."

"Was divorce not a goodbye?" I ask.

"No. People think divorce is an end to a relationship. But sometimes to end a relationship, you have to talk it out and finish it on a proper note. So you don't feel regret that you should have apologized for things you said. You should have asked them why they behaved the way they did. I never did that with Jagvi. We fought and divorced and never actually talked after that. It was all so bitter at the end." He says and I see a turmoil in his eyes.

"What would happen if you both talk and resolve it and find out that you made a mistake? What if you both want to reconcile?" I ask, looking straight into his eyes.

"That would never happen." He says, and he looks dead serious.

"Then why meet? Let it be." I say and take hold of his hand.

"Because..." He says and stops.

"Because what, Reyansh? Tell me one valid reason and I won't stop you from meeting her. Because I have many reasons to stop you. Do you know how I feel every time your and Jagvi's path crosses? I feel this immense fear that there would come ‌a time when you would regret marrying me because you lost your chance to be with her. That you lost your chase with your first love?" I say.

"Ramya, I don't love her anymore." He says.

"But first love is always first. And you can fall in love with only one person." I say, and he cups my cheeks in his hand.

"I don't believe in those stupid stuff that if you fall once, you can't again. If there is a thing like first love, then there is a thing called true love, too. And it isn't necessary that your first love is your true love. Maybe Jagvi wasn't the one for me. Also, love is nothing without respect and trust. Jagvi and I lacked both ‌things in our relationship. That is why our relationship didn't work out and we are never, ever getting back together. You know why?" He asks.

"Why?" I ask in a daze as I look into his eyes.

"Because I have found a person who respects me and my dreams and trusts me deep down. Actually, deep, deep, deep down." He says with a goofy smile, and I frown.

"Now, who is this new rival?" I ask, and he looks confused.

"I am talking about you." He says.

"Oh! You are talking so much today that my brain cannot handle it." I say, then look down and ask, "Would meeting her mean you will finally be all mine after coming back?"

"Yes. I'll be all yours, like you are mine." He says, and that makes my heart flutter.

"Would you then try falling for me?" I ask gingerly.

He looks at me with a unique look in his eyes and says, "I will try my best."

"Then you can meet her, but I have a condition." I say.
