***Ramya's POV.***

I toss and turn the entire night. Why? Because even though I told Reyansh that it is my problem and I won't drag anyone, there was something which wanted me to go back on my words. But what was it? It can't definitely be the racing heartbeat.

I mean, it was just because of the adrenaline rush. Reyansh saved me and we had to rush from there secretly... Who am I kidding? I am lost at the reasoning. I don't know why my heart beats so fast whenever he smiles.

"Are you ready?" Mum asks the next day.

"Ugh! I don't want to go." I say.

"Then why are you dressed? And isn't Holi your favorite festival?" Mum asks.

"Who told you to remind me of that?" I moan in despair.

"What is going on, dear? You have been acting weird lately." She says.

All thanks to your decision.

"I am fine. Just don't feel like playing without my friends." I say.

"But I am here and so is your family." She says with a smile.

"You're right. I will cheer up." I say with a smile.

"When you are done, cheer me up, too. Give me some strength so I can face Suku's family." Mum says.

I get up and hug her tightly. "Here is my energy boost for you. And I know they will love you."

"Thank you." Mum says as she sways us and I giggle.

I wore my old jeans and a white top for the party and drove us to Verma house and I know Mum is still a little nervous to meet them. They don't sound that horrible to me. Mr. Verma said that he has a younger brother who has a wife and two children. One boy and one girl. The boy is a year older than me and the girl is two years younger than me.

As soon as we reach their villa, the gate opens, and a couple is waiting at the door to welcome us and so is Mr. Verma. He opens the door for us and we walk towards the couple who are scrutinizing my Mum like she is some kind of new species.

"Namaste." Mum says and I greet them too.

"Namaste. You are a beautiful woman. What did you find in my brother?" The man asks who I suppose is his little brother.

"He is handsome and a wonderful cook." Mum says with a blank look on her face.

And I look at her in disbelief. Because she is behaving just like how Mr. Verma behaved when we first met. They are made for each other. The couple felt conscious under her stare and I tried to hold back my smile.

"This is my brother, Sudhir and his wife, Geeta." Mr. Verma says, "And this is Ruha and her daughter Ramya."

"It is nice to meet you." I say with a smile and they finally look relieved to find a normal person.

"Please come in." They say and we do so.

Then we are introduced to their daughter Meeta and Mr. Verma's Dad, Sarthak Ji. I touch his feet and he just nods.

"What made you think about remarriage?" He asks his son.

"I thought it was clear." Mr. Verma says and I get it where he gets his looks and nature while Mum finally blushes like a young bride and the couple looks at her in surprise.

Obviously my Mum looks beautiful when she blushes.

"Shut up, Ramya." Mum says, and I realize that I spoke out aloud.

"What? I was just praising my mother." I say.

The party is going full on, and I see Mayra and her family in the distance. I also saw Vedant Bhai and beautiful Arya Bhabhi with our family.
