Larry's POV
"Are you guys fine?" Jax comes rushing through the small door of the building. If it seems small for him then it's worse for me. Being half Asian and American is more or less a good combination for height. I am a six foot so you know what that means. I am tall.
"I am fine but I think we need to rush Immy to the hospital." I told Jax where we were when I called him earlier and it took him two damn hours to get to this place. It makes me question how we got here but then again we both were unconscious. I was on my way back home from the office when I got a flat tire half way. I got out to get a look at the tire when suddenly I was knocked out. Haha looking back, this guy really planned everything out.
"I don't need to go to the hospital, I am totally fine." Sometimes I really want to smack her face for saying she's fine when she isn't.
"You are not okay Immy and we are going to the hospital whether you like it or not." I am a hot head after all. She doesn't say anything but follows Jax's lead out of the store.
"Thank you." I hand the young man a few bills as I walk after the two.
"No need for the money sir." He pushes the money back to me with a sweet smile. He kind of reminds me of when I was just starting my business. I was kind to everyone and people used it the way they liked. For one Jax's grandfather helped me with the funds because he saw potential in me while a few used it to step on me and make fun of me but where I am now, I could crash them but that kindness hasn't entirely vanished. I am a bigger person than that.
"You helped me and my wife, gave her something to eat and drink and helped with a cellphone. I can't take a no from you. Use it to buy something for yourself or your family." I push the money back and walk out. I hear him shout a "thank you" as the door shuts behind me. I wave my hand in the air without turning around to face the young man. I get in the car and Jax drives us to the closest hospital in the area.
We spend a few minutes in line waiting for our turn to see the doctor. I don't even know when the last time I ever waited in line for something was. It seems so long ago when I did this and the feeling's interesting. Being my best friend, somehow Jax reads my mind and speaks what I am thinking out loud.
"Hey Sheld, when was the last time we waited in line?" Immy seated between us looks to him then turns to me with amusement flashing in her eyes.
"I think that was way back in high school, even then with your reputation we never really waited in line but just got everything and anything we wanted the second we got to the place." We both laugh at the memory. Unlike me, Jax came from a rich background and everyone knew the Millers and he got everything and anything he wanted and since we were the best of friends, I also got whatever I wanted but all I really ever wanted was to build my own empire from scratch and I was able to do it. We talk about our life back in the day before we became business men. Immy just keeps laughing that she can barely breathe. In that moment she seems to forget what just happened to us. I low-key feel relieved that she seems happy and not traumatized.
"Mrs. Sheldon, please walk in to room 2001." The lady on the front desk says then we all walk towards the room. Some people stare our way maybe trying so hard to figure out where they could've possibly seen our faces or maybe wondering why it was said Mrs. Sheldon yet two men are following her. Well, I am her husband and this there is my brother.
