JARRED

Jarred is confused and afraid. One minute he's talking to Jason the next he's being thrown through a window. He flies off his feet like a paper being blown away by the wind. There's a crash as his backpack shatters the glass. There's a few seconds where his flying through the air with only darkness around him. Then his back hits the hedge and he sinks deep into it surrounded by leaves and branches.

He lays still his blood rushing creating a drum beat in his ear. There's a powerful light and an explosion that causes the ground to shake. Jarred pulls himself out of the hedges and stares up at the room his brother was just in engulfed in flames. His eyes search the flames for him, but all he can see is smoke. The sprinkler system  kicks in in the rest of the house. But the explosion must have destroyed the offices sprinklers.

"JARRED!" Jenna yells behind him.

He turns to her and he sees her standing over Tyler who has Jason laying in his arms.

...............

JENNA

He flew out of the room like a rocket landing on the driveway so hard she hears his bones snap in half. Tyler races off towards him before she can even process what just happened. Jenna runs after him and she has to stuff her fist in her mouth to stop crying when she sees him.

Jasons eyes are wide open filled with tears and pain. His breathing frantically a thick line of blood tracing it's way out of his mouth. But all of hia injuries and charred clothes pale in comparison with his left arm. It looks like a noodle bent in so many odd way its almost makes Jenna throw up. It looks like it has no bones just skin and flesh.

Tyler holds him in his arms speaking to him softly.

"It's okay the infection will heal you just breathe and try to stay awake." He says.

Jason blinks several times and buries his head in Tylers chest fighting tears. Jarred runs over, Jenna saw him fall  into the bushes seconds before Jason did. He looks down at their brother his face pale and his lips dry.

"What happened?" Jenna asks pulling him aside.

Jarred eyes are wild with panic and shock. Jenna has to shake him to get him to focus.

"There was some guy up there he-he..." Jarred takes a deep breath trying to find his words. " He's their leader."

"The men who invaded the house?" Jenna asks.

Jarred nods.

"He w-wanted to talk to Jason alone and...and-" Tears flow down her brothers face.

She pulls him closer and wispers in his ear.

"It's okay. We're going to be okay."

Jarred nods slowly.

"We need to go. Jason bought us some time but it won't last forever." Tyler says carrying Jason.

Jenna nods and they run for the car. Right before a her feet a line of bullets hit the tar causing her to stop. The gunman makes his way towards them the barrel of his gun pointed at Tylers head.

"Do not move." He says.

Jenna searches her mind for a solution. But all she sees when ahe closes here eyes is Jasons broken arm. Even Tyler stands still his face concentrated. The man opens his mouth to say something else but with a very fast swing of his arm Jarred fist knocks him out instantly. Jenna watches her brother galre down at the mans body before reaching for her hand.

She takes it and they make it to the car with no more interruptions. Tyler gets in the back with Jarred helping him hold Jason. Jenna starts the car and speeds away as soon as Jarred is seated next to her. They zoom down the driveway and out of the open gate into the neighbourhood. Jenna has no idea where to take them and she doesn't care enough to think. Far away...it must be far away from here.

Behind them a line of powerful smoke rises from their home. Jenna looks ahead choosing to worry about it later. Jarred opens the backpack and searches for something inside it throwing it's contents all over the floor.

"Wher is it." He mutters to himself.

Jenna catches sight of Tyler wispering things over Jasons body as her brother breathes painfully.

"Is he okay?" Jenna asks.

Tyler looks up at her and tries his best to smile at her.

"I don't know. He's not healing the way I do. I'm praying for him." He says.

Jenna watches as he continues wispering his mouth moving quickly praying in Icelandic.

"Here it is." Jarred say turning on a phone he found in the backpack.

It's screen shines with GPS coordinates that spill out on a map showing them where to go. Jarred points at it.

"Make a left here." He says.

Jenna turns the car and they go screeching down the road.
