The school bell finally rang.

Its sonorous ringing reached many young eager ears that signalled to all students their classes for today were finally over.

Most students were quick to jump off their chairs and grab their things, excited to once again taste the freedom of after school hours. They were even more excited as it was a Friday, so tomorrow will be the weekend wherein there are no classes until it is Monday once again.

"Alright, hold up. We have assigned classroom cleaners for today. Please stay behind...Mashiho, Yoonbin, Jeongwoo, Jihoon and Hyunsuk." said Doyoung, their class president, as he read from the list he had written in his notebook.

The five names whom have been mentioned groaned. Annoyance clear on their faces just as they reached the doors to exit the classroom, only to step back in again because they had to do their assigned task.

"Ugh! Why us? We just cleaned last Friday." Jihoon complained.

"We always clean every Friday Jihoon." Jeongwoo rolled his eyes, putting his bag back down on an empty student desk.

"We do?!" Jihoon screeched.

"Yeah, we're assigned to clean every Friday for the whole school year. We discussed this in our second class meeting. It was even written on the board." Hyunsuk answered him as he slung his arm over, despite Jihoon being taller than him a few inches.

"Park Jihoon! You and your horrible memory. You're the class secretary, you wrote it yourself." Junkyu laughed. He was still in the classroom. He stayed behind to tease his friends that were forced to stay behind against their will and clean.

Haruto stood beside him waiting while chuckling at his friends.

"Honestly, he has the second worst handwriting in this class. Why is he the secretary again?" Jeongwoo questioned out loud, patting Jihoon on the shoulders.

"My handwriting is not that awful. And I didn't even want to be the class secretary in the first place." Jihoon slapped his hand away from him. "You guys nominated me as a joke and forced the others to vote for me." he added, pointing at his closest friends.

They all started laughing, reminiscing the memory of that day. That is exactly why he was elected as class secretary.

Mashiho, with his dying laughter, didn't say any complaints as he was fine with cleaning.

"Let's just get on with cleaning so we can finish early." Mashiho said to them.

He walked towards a rectangular wooden cabinet in one of the corners of the room. The cabinet stored all their cleaning equipment. Mashiho started taking out brooms and rags to start as soon as possible.

"Please make sure you five actually help each other clean. Last time it was only Mashiho that did the cleaning. So..." Doyoung said trailing off. He was tapping his pen on the podium at the front, thinking of what to say next.

The other cleaners already flinched and kept their complaints to themselves. They prepared themselves mentally, already expecting for their work to be doubled.

"I think Mashiho can just erase the writings on the board and leave early. While you four will get busy with sweeping the floor, arranging the tables and chairs, cleaning the dust off, wiping the windows, and take the trash out." Doyoung said all while smiling in a mockingly sweet way at them.

Although they already expected it, they couldn't hold back their groans to express their displeasure, but they obeyed anyway. If they do not clean they would get minus points that will affect their grades. They were already lacking in their academics as they weren't exactly the type that are thrilled about studying or taking their studies seriously.
