26|Tears And Cuts

That night, after school hours, they gathered at the lounge area for their movie night like they always did. After all the atrociousness they witnessed and faced, it finally steered them away from watching horror movies. Junkyu was very much pleased by that, Jeongwoo too but he didn't show it nor voiced it out loud as much as Junkyu did. Tonight's movie was a randomly picked Disney animated film.

And miraculously, Doyoung and Jaehyuk joined them this time tonight but they were still not entirely complete as Jihoon was the one absent this time. Haruto noticed this immediately especially when he saw Hyunsuk, Junkyu and Jeongwoo arrive without him.

"Where's Jihoon?" Haruto asked.

"He's not coming. He's sleeping in early because he doesn't feel well." Hyunsuk answered.

Haruto nodded in reply to his statement.

"Is he okay?" A look of worry washed over his face.

"He's feeling a bit dizzy." Hyunsuk said. He looked around for any ears that could be paying attention to their conversation. When he concluded no one seemed to be listening, he whispered his next words to Haruto. "When we were cleaning a while ago, he ran to the bathroom to vomit again." He shared.

Haruto's eyes widened.

"But there wasn't any blood. It was just what he ate today." Hyunsuk quickly added.

"Movie's about to start!" Junghwan announced.

Hyunsuk and Haruto said nothing more to each other as everyone settled to find their seats.

Junkyu always sat next to Haruto or at least close to him. But after what happened between them he felt the need to avoid him. So, he sat far away from him which Haruto noticed and did not like it at all. He didn't say anything about it though, not wanting to make the night atmosphere awkward for Junkyu or anyone.

Haruto thought he can just talk to Junkyu tomorrow instead. They would discuss things after a good night sleep. He was sure both of them needed time of careful consolation with their thoughts and emotions alone.

The group sat in silence with the occasional noise of hushed whispers, chewing of food and then slurping of their drinks.

Every once in a while a musical poured in from the movie, those who knew the song sang along. As for those who didn't know, stayed quiet to listen. They all were enjoying, watching and occasionally laughing.

They finished the Disney movie. Looking at the clock in the room it was now a bit late at night. They usually only watch one movie and it was always a horror. In which one horror movie was always enough to get them up from their butts and head back to their rooms to sleep. But since tonight was a bit different, most of those in the group were not satisfied and wanted to watch another movie before going to sleep. A quick debate occured within the group and the argument was won over with watching another movie up until midnight came, only then will they retreat to their rooms to sleep.

In the middle of the movie, however, there was a tumultuous noise of glass shattering. It came from down the hallway where the dorm rooms were situated. Upon hearing the unexpected noise, every one of the boys became alert and alarmed. They looked at each other, trying to find someone who can give them a possible explanation from what they just heard.

"What was that?" Mashiho asked in a whisper.

No one answered him. Everyone was too deep in their thoughts trying to grasp a logical reason of what could have caused the noise.

"Should we check it?" Junkyu spoke. He made eye contact with Doyoung.

Doyoung understood that he was asking him. He was indecisive himself of whether they should check it or not. The noise alone caused their nerves to tense up which they haven't felt in a while. The feeling was foreign yet quite familiar already.
