18|The Horror Booth

Six days have passed without anymore haunted incidents. Everyone was cautious over the first few days but by now they felt a bit at ease that maybe it was now all over.

The others were all shocked to find out what Junkyu did. But were grateful that because of him everything seemed calm now.

Junkyu had stopped feeling sick and began to feel like himself again.

Junghwan had healed from his wounds, he kept doing YouTube but stopped posting any horror content. He hadn't admitted to what he did yet. Him and Doyoung had come into terms and stopped the bad blood between them. Though it was still awkward to talk to each other.

Hyunsuk had not at all confessed to Jihoon because there was something always getting in the way. Either it was his fear of rejection or someone coming to disturb them.

But he was now determined and certain to confess his feelings on the day of their High School Spring Festival. Right now, they were gathered in their classroom to have a meeting for the mentioned occasion.

Doyoung was at the front of the class, wiping the chalk writings off the board.

"As I was saying, our class will do the haunted house booth." Doyoung announced.

Instantly, everyone groaned.

"Is he kidding? What is he saying?" Jihoon asked Jeongwoo, who looked just as confused and annoyed as he he did.

"Why the haunted house?" Junkyu whined. "What a creepy coincidence." He added.

"I know. Haven't we already had enough haunted experiences already?" Yedam crossed his arms.

Almost everyone nodded in agreement to him.

"Exactly." Mashiho said.

"Right?" Yedam replied.

Doyoung ignored their reactions and proceeded. Not like they had a choice, it was assigned to them anyway.

"Tell me some ideas how to decorate." Doyoung said.

"Tell the class ghost to do it." Junghwan replied, still a bit sour and unnerved that they never really found out who the ghost among them is.

Heads turned to his direction to listen.

"Whoever it is he'll do a great job." He finished.

Silence filled the room. The mood turned kind of sour for the first time in the last few days of peaceful bliss.

Yedam then finally thought of something in mind.

"How about making it a game?" He suggested. "Clearing each mission."

"Oh, that sounds great." Jihoon nodded, agreeing to his suggestion as it sounded fun.

"It's like that in the horror games." Hyunsuk inserted, also liking the idea. "That sounds real fun. What about the make up?" He asked.

Mashiho looked around and raised his hand.

"Me! I'll be Toshio!" He declared.

Upon hearing that, everyone in the room laughed and smiled once again.

"I want to be Anabelle!!" Junkyu declared.

"Then I'll be Shrek!" Jihoon raised his hand.

"I'll be Edward Scissorhand!" Yoshi said to Junghwan. He made gestures with his fingers which made Junghwan smile as he imagined it already.

Doyoung smiled seeing the room lighten up with everyone's excited faces. They all started discussing who they wanted to dress up to be. Even Jaehyuk stopped reading his book and shared he wanted to be Dracula.
