10|The Search Begins

(lol I rewatched the Mysterious Class for this chapter and I realized that Hyunsuk's roommates aren't actually Jihoon, Jeongwoo and Junkyu. His roommates are Junghwan and Doyoung 😅 but anyway we're still going with what's written already, can't change it now 😂)

"Yah!! Don't say that!" Jeongwoo shouted.

"It's because of the Ouija board. It told us there's a ghost in this classroom! We broke some of the rules! We didn't finish playing it." Hyunsuk expressed.

Doyoung slapped his hand against the podium again to make them shut up and direct their attention back to him.

"There are 21 of us here right now. Yesterday when we were playing soccer, the other team saw only 10 of us instead of 11. That means someone we don't know played the game with us." Doyoung stated.

Those who were aware of who the players yesterday were started looking at each other.

"Wait, you guys played soccer without me?" Jihoon turned to Jeongwoo pouting.

"Shut up!" Jeongwoo whispered. "You were sick. Do you expect us to grab you out of bed to play?" he added.

"So, those who didn't play soccer are excluded. He's among us. Someone that doesn't belong in our class. If you say that's a ghost, I guess it is a ghost." Doyoung finished.

"That's ridiculous." someone said.

"Ghosts? This is 2022." another added.

Yedam hadn't exactly payed that much attention to the current discussion they were having. His monthly evaluations were coming soon so he's grinding himself to working on his music demo. He'd been fixing it after he thought someone pranked him by ruining it.

It was going smooth and he was sure he was going to finish it today. However, an ear splitting scream from his music attacked his unsuspecting ears once again. He quickly took off the headphones which its wire got pulled off from his tablet. The loud voice echoed throughout the room and everyone inside heard its terrifying sound.

From a series of desperate screams it turned to deranged laughter and then became incoherent talking or mumbling. It kept repeating 'Hi friend' talking in either high pitched voices or low tones like as if accompanied by a demon.

"What's that?!"

"What's happening?!"

"Someone make it stop!"

The class was in chaos. Some stood up from their seats, scared and looking at Yedam's tablet that kept talking like it was possessed.

Yedam was breathing heavily and stared at his tablet unable to move from shock and fear.

Jeongwoo had stood up from his seat. He plugged his ears with his hands trying to not hear the awful noises.

"H-hey! Turn that off!" Jeongwoo screamed.

Mashiho who sat beside Yedam, acted quickly and hit the pause button on the player. The noises immediately stopped. Yedam breathed out and held onto his heart trying to calm it down.

"What was that?" Junkyu asked looking scared.

Haruto stared at the tablet. He didn't answer Junkyu.

Junghwan and Yoshi sat back down together.

"Did you hear that?" Junghwan asked to all his classmates in particular.

"Is this a prank?" Jihoon asked smiling.

"It's not a prank. Look at Yedam's face." Junghwan answered.

They all saw how Yedam looked ready to cry. Mashiho comforted him with a pat on his shoulder.
