2|The Board Game

Hyunsuk entered his dorm room which he shared with three other people.

He saw that there was no one inside yet. He walked in, shutting the door close behind him. He went to his table desk and placed his bag down. He pulled the zipper open and pulled out the object he found.

"What is this?" Hyunsuk asked himself.

He stared at it for a while and then placed it closer to his face to examine it better. He saw the circular glass once again and attempted to look through it just like he planned on doing so back at their classroom. But before he could do so, he was interrupted again.

Hyunsuk heard the knob of the door being turned. He let out a surprised squeak, almost dropping the object as he loosened his hold on it. He shoved it back into his bag and threw it over to his bed that was in the upper bunk. He spun around to face his roommates that entered through the open door.

The people who entered were Junkyu, Jeongwoo and Jihoon.

"Hyunsuk, you're here now. You got to throw the trash out right?" Jihoon asked as he walked past him.

"Of course I did. No thanks to you guys for leaving me behind." Hyunsuk glared.

"Jeongwoo left to play basketball. I wanted to play too." Jihoon pouted and elbowed him playfully.

"That still doesn't give you guys the right to go and leave me behind." Hyunsuk said pushing him away.

"Are you coming to the lounge with us Hyunsuk?" Jeongwoo asked.

"Why? Is there a reason I should be going there?" Hyunsuk was confused.

Junkyu and Jihoon gasped out loud, acting dramatically by placing a hand over their gaped mouths.

"You forgot?" Junkyu asked. "It's Friday today, remember? Which means no classes tomorrow. Which also means movie night!" he declared, his arms stretching out above his head.

"Oh that, yeah, I forgot about that." Hyunsuk said, scratching his head.

"Well, what are you still here for? Let's go. The others are probably there now." Junkyu said pulling on Hyunsuk's arm to drag him out.

"Who exactly are coming to watch too?" Hyunsuk wondered out loud.

"Only us, and by 'us' we mean us four along with Haruto, Mashiho, Yoshi, Asahi, Yedam and Junghwan. Doyoung and Jaehyuk said they'd rather study for the upcoming Math quiz." Jeongwoo answered him.

"Seriously these people, it's on Monday they have like Saturday and Sunday to study for it." Jihoon rolled his eyes with his arms crossed.

"We can't blame them. If we don't get good grades then we don't get to have jobs." Jeongwoo shrugged.

"We're like 15. I think we're too young to be thinking about jobs." Jihoon said uncrossing his arms. He sneezed and rubbed on his pink tinted nose that felt itchy.

"Let's go now! You guys are so slow! I want to pick a RomCom first before someone suggests on another horror movie!" Junkyu said already fuming outside the doorway.

"You guys go first. I'm just gonna change my shirt since this one is filled with dust that's making my nose a bit itchy." Jihoon said rubbing on his nose to stop himself from sneezing.

"Alright, but be quick." Junkyu said.

The three left him and went to the lounge area, a space designed wide enough for group studies or leisure activities that could be used by the students that lived in the dorms.

Hyunsuk mentally counted the heads he saw and the people that were present there were the exact ones Jeongwoo mentioned earlier. They were huddled around together facing a laptop placed on a piece of furniture. Each of them were already seated on either the couch or floor with cushions, popcorns and drinks in their hands. The three newcomers heard an intro background type of music from their selected movie was already playing from the laptop.
