"Is it just me or did today just felt... normal?" Mashiho put out.
"Shhh! You might jinx it!" Yedam shushed him.
"But seriously though, it's like...like the ghost wasn't here." Mashiho continued.
"Keep jinxing it and the ghost will be here." Yedam deadpanned.
Mashiho finally shut his mouth close.
"But you are right. It did felt like a normal day except Junkyu was really quiet today. Junghwan was absent. Doyoung wasn't bossy. Asahi smiled. Jihoon was extra loud and noisy. And speaking of Jihoon....Hyunsuk actually likes Jih-?!" Yedam tried to finish but receive a slap at the back of his head. He turned around quickly finding it was Hyunsuk.
He gave him an annoyed look.
"What? You all promised to keep your mouths shut and here you are, ready to announce it to the entire school." Hyunsuk glared at him.
"I'm sorry but I'm just in shock, okay?" Yedam rubbed on his head.
"Yeah, even me." Mashiho said with a nod.
Hyunsuk sighed and sat down with them. They were currently gathering at the lounge area. It was now nighttime and school finished a few hours ago.
"Sorry Hyunsuk. I didn't mean to ask it in front of them. I couldn't help but just notice you looking at Jihoon almost all the time." Yoshi said looking apologetic.
Hyunsuk blushed from how Yoshi worded his actions.
"I don't look at him all the time." He quickly defended himself. It was quiet, anyone could practically hear a cricket in the background. "Alright, maybe I do look at him just a bit too often. But I'm just worried, okay?" He added.
They chuckled at him.
"It's okay. We have nothing against it, just shocked. And why now though are you showing you have feelings? I mean, you said that you've had them for a while." Mashiho said.
"Have I been a bit too obvious lately?" Hyunsuk instead questioned, he looked a bit mortified that maybe even Jihoon noticed his change of behaviour.
"Yeah, but not really too obvious. You just seem so concerned over him the most." Yoshi answered.
"With everything that has been happening of course I'm concerned. It scared me. When Jihoon was injured by the ghost I just felt protective of him." Hyunsuk explained.
"Protective soon to be boyfriend. Got it." Yedam teased and laughed. Mashiho and Yoshi joined in while Hyunsuk turned red.
"You two will look so cute together. Why don't you ask him out already?" Yoshi said.
"I would but I don't know if he likes someone else already. Also, is it really a good time to date him when we still haven't resolved our ghost problem?" Hyunsuk answered.
"Hmm, yeah, you're right. I think it would be bad timing to do that right now." Mashiho nodded.
"Yeah, so I'm kinda waiting for the right time and the perfect moment to ask him." Hyunsuk said.
All while they were talking Asahi had been there, sitting silently and drawing on his sketchpad. He had been listening to their conversation and didn't say anything to insert himself in. They didn't mind as he seemed contented to just be there. So, they were caught off guard when he looked up from his sketchbook and spoke.
"I hope you don't take too long waiting for the right time and perfect moment." Asahi began. "Because there's no right time nor perfect moment. If you don't seize your chance now then you will end up with nothing but regrets tomorrow."
