Jeongwoo, Junkyu and Haruto ran together through the dark hallways. They followed Yoshi, Asahi and Jaehyuk whom were running in front of them.
The three people behind struggled with Haruto being injured. It was an incredibly unpleasant feeling having to run and repeatedly put pressure on the stab wound of his very foot. He scrunched his face, bit his bottom lip or gasped everytime he took a torturous step with it. But he pushed through the pain not wanting to hold back his friends and allow Jihoon to catch up to them.
They all ended up at the kitchen area, needing to catch their breaths. They didn't bother switching the light on. It would give away their cover of being there. Haruto didn't voice it out but his face seemed relieved he could rest and recuperate in the slightest bit for a while.
"Are you okay?" Junkyu immediately asked Haruto. He helped him sit down on one of the chairs in the kitchen so he can inspect the wound and do his best to what first aid method can be applied.
"I'm okay." Haruto tried to smile, only to hiss and groaned in pain from the movement. Yet he happily seated himself, taking a deep breath.
Yoshi, Jaehyuk and Asahi were on guard for any incoming presence as they let Haruto be given all the attention to be treated first.
"Is the wound deep?" Jeongwoo asked looking very concerned as well.
He didn't get an answer. Junkyu was still carefully examining the wound. His face grimaced from how Jihoon actually punctured a hole through it. Junkyu avoided any gruesome nor negative thoughts about it.
"We...we need to stop the bleeding. Haruto has already lost so much blood." Junkyu said with a shaky voice.
Jeongwoo nodded and looked around the kitchen for something they could use.
"We need to bring him to the clinic. There's medical supplies we can use there." Jaehyuk suggested to them.
"Isn't that a bit far from here?" Yoshi queried.
"It's not that far." Jaehyuk answered.
"Really? It's about a 20 minute walk from here to there." Yoshi put out.
"11–14 minutes if we run." Jaehyuk threw back.
"We'd be dead with Jihoon still out there to kill us." Yoshi reasoned.
"Then what would you have us do? Look at Haruto. What should we do about his wound? Disinfect it with the vegetables or spices in the refrigerator?" Jaehyuk sniggered.
Yoshi pressed his lips into a thin line, not saying anything anymore to argue with him.
"He's right. There's nothing here we can use." Jeongwoo said after having searched around the area.
"Okay, but we need to stop the bleeding first." Junkyu said
"There's only these paper towels. There's also some rags but they're too dirty to use." Jeongwoo said handing the items to Junkyu.
Junkyu frowned by this but still gratefully accepted them. Not really sure what he was supposed to do. He put pressured underneath using the clean paper towel. He asked Jeongwoo to keep it in place for him. Junkyu then tore off a piece of fabric from his long sleeved sweater and used the fabric to tie the area and keep Haruto from losing anymore blood.
All while he did this, he was very careful. Every time Haruto flinched or bit back a pained sound, Junkyu noticed and made sure to not hurt him. Once he was done, Haruto let out a shaky sigh.
"Thank you." Haruto whispered with a weak yet grateful smile.
Junkyu returned a smile as well but the corners did not stretch far. He was worried, distraught and his thoughts were soon again occupied by his best friend whom they left behind. Junkyu questioned himself if it was right to leave Jihoon? What could he have done to help him? Could he even still be helped at all?
