Alex woke up from his deep sleep and the first thing he saw when he open his eyes were the infirmary ceiling. He shut his eyes once more and let out a soft contented sighs. He definitely feel well-rested.

"Hey... You're finally awake," said a familiar voice.

Alex eyes shoot up and looked at the person. As soon as he look at her, a smile slowly curved over his lips, "Oh, hi there.."

Hermione returned his smile and leans forward, "Hi..., how are you feeling?" she asked softly.

"Better now," He grinned, showing his teeth.

Hermione just rolled her eyes at him, tucking her hair strands behind her ear. He notices a tint of blush appears on both her cheeks.

Alex watches her for a moment, taking his time to appreciate her looks. He can literally just look at her whole day if she lets him and he can't really understand why.

Is this how it feel when falling for someone?

"Earth to Alex?"

Hermione waved at him, seemingly concerned. Alex blinks and slowly pulled himself up onto sitting position. "Are you really okay?" she asked.

Nodding, the wizard just ruffles his hair and look at her, "I'm okay, don't worry."

"You're seems to be really out of it for a second there,"

Alex chuckles dryly. If only she knew it was her who made him that way. But there's no way he would tell her, so he just smile reassuringly, "Don't worry, it's er-- the effect of the potion Mdm. Pomfrey gave me, I think?"

Hermione doesn't seem to be pleased with the answer but since she didn't asked another question, Alex thought that she probably just let it slide.

"But, how did you know I was here anyway?"

"Mdm Pomfrey sent a note saying that you were in the infirmary," Hermione handed him the notes.

Alex arched his brows as he read it. The notes was just telling that he's fine and there's nothing to be worry about and most importantly, it was written for Ginny. "It's uh, where's Ginny though?" he just had to ask.

A blushed crept on the brunette cheek as she snatched the notes off his gripped and stuff it into her bag, "She had a tryouts today, and coincidentally, I had a free time so I thought I could just go and see you on her behalf--" she voice trailed off.

Hermione Granger is flustered and Alex feel himself grinning at that.

"But I can take you to the Quidditch field if you want to see--" She adds, trying her best to compose herself. "And why are you grinning?"

Alex quickly change his facial as if he was never grins at her at all, "When?"

Hermione narrowed her brown eyes on him and Alex mimicked her while doing some funny facial until she burst out laughing. Mdm. Pomfrey  had shushed them from the other side of the room.

"Sorry!" Alex cried and chuckles as he saw Hermione covered her lips with both hands, trying to suppress her giggles.

Alex tutted at her, "Never knew you're such a troublemaker, Granger."

A soft smack landed on his thigh, "It's your fault."

Alex feigned hurt at the accusation, "I am innocent, how dare?"

Hermione just stuck her tongue out at him.

Sitting by the fire, with his head leaned on the backrest of the armchair, Alex stares at the ceiling while thinking of a way to reach for his uncle again. He really wanted to ask him about the missing victim. Something about it has been bugging him and he couldn't make his mind rest, not until he find out what had happen to her.
