First round of patrolling around Hogwarts almost come to an end.

Once in a while he would stop on his pace to write down his discovery or anything that he finds out of place. And he might have caught students messing around in the empty classroom somewhere. But it's not his job to catch them, and besides, it's high school. Teenagers are in their mood to explore stuffs.

He did it too, not all the way-- just making out and all that jazz-- still, he feel guilty for his mate whenever he want to do the deed.

Though he have no clue yet to whomever that might be. He have someone in mind, or maybe he hoped it would be that person but he need a solid evidence for that.

Now Alex wonder, how would it feel when he finally found his mate. What will happen? And-- how would that said mate would react? Will they accept him? His uncle told him that if the mate rejects them, they would eventually dies in a heartbreak.

Sighs
What a sad way of living..

Maybe that's why his uncle stays the way he is. Maybe he scared that his mate will reject him.

Alex let out a yawned as he was walking towards the brightly lit hallway corner that he believes leads him back upstairs towards the entrance hall. He was just finishing his patrol around Hufflepuff dorm and did not find anything suspicious. Unfortunately.

And Hogwarts patrolling is definitely not a one man job. Well, unless ones knew about all the secret passage then it's possible. But for Alex, it was tiring.  He suddenly have big respect for Argus Filch for able to finish patrolling even before the sun rise.

Though it was hard to do but Alex did want to do a second patrol but when he met Argus Filch on the way, the caretaker offered that he'll take over since Alex have morning class. At first, the young veela insist that he did it himself but Argus told him that he would immediately knew if anything unusual had happen around the school ground since he has been doing the patrol since forever.

Alex know for a fact that the Hogwarts caretaker is right and he took the offer. Besides, he need time to think and figure out the clues, motives and anything that is necessary to aid him solving the crime. There are still so much to think about and the fact that the killer can strike their victims at any time, it's making him anxious but he  knew well, that he need to stay calm.

No matter what.

Taking a deep breath, Alex decided to make a stop at the kitchen. Ginny have told him that the kitchen is near the Hufflepuff dorm but never really get the chance to go and visit.

Alex was about to make a turn around the corner when suddenly a person was going to collide with him.

"Oof--"

The person gasped, and it was a witch. A younger witch. She was probably in Third or Fourth Year. Her eyes widened at the sight of seeing Alex as if she was caught doing something against the rule. Well, practically they both are, considering it has already past curfew.

She has her long brown hair and deep colored eyes; but that probably due to the lighting-- and if not for the freckles and bushy eyebrows, or that she's younger than the killer target, she would make it to the list. Well, depends on her blood status of course.

Alex put his hands up in surrendering motion, smiling, "I'm just a lost wizard," he said and after he said that, she let out a relief sighs.

"I thought I was gonna get caught, haha--" she chuckles, sounded slightly nervous.

"Not your first time sneaking around huh?" he asked.

The witch chewed her lips, looking at Alex with puppy eyes as she replied, "Don't tell anyone though," and tucked her hair strands to the back of her earlobe.
