"I am thoroughly disappointed in you--" their principal said, piercingly glares at each one of the four young wizards who has been looking down to their shoes for the entire time. "--Especially you, Roan," she stated, focusing solely at the caucasian wizard who is now pushing his spectacles frame nervously above his nose bridge.
"You were suppose to be the prefect, for merlin's sake," she cried, "And what did you do?"
Alex and his friends felt the stung in her words for Roan. They felt sorry for the boy, though it was a mutual agreement between them since Roan basically owed Alex for helping him with arithmetic. "You aided these-- these delinquents!"
Michael snorted a laughed at that, which make Alex elbowed his friend, as he too is trying hard to not smiling. "And what is so funny, Mr. Schultz?" the principal now changing her glares at the brunette.
Michael bit his lips. "Enn... No, nothing, ma'am," he quickly faked a cough. "Just, ahem.."
Principal Julia let out a heavy, disappointed sighs. Leaning herself over the edge of her table, she massaged her nose bridge. The four wizards exchange a concerned looks with one another. "Roan, 60 point taken from your house--"
Roan grimaced. It will caused him a trouble with the House's Head for sure. "--And you're dismiss."
Roan send an apologetic glances at the other three and muttered a meek thanks to Principal Julia before heading out from the office. This isn't exactly the first time they got caught though and, they gotta admit that it wasn't that long ago.
"I--" she said, looking up at them with dismay. Then, she just again, sighing heavily. "-Am, loss for words about you three." she scowled., "This is the second time, I caught you three--- skipping classes and go to the muggle world--
"And, and.. What exactly is your business over there, honestly?"
Both Michael and Max cast a quick glanced at Alex who stood in the middle of them, who is nervously chewing the inside of his lips.
"Well?" Principal Julia crossed her arms over her body.
"I-- we um..." Max tried to come up with an excuse,
"It was me. Um," Alex abruptly said. He gulped, as Principal Julia's piercing stares now solely at him. "It was just some stupid dares that I came up with, ahem..., and uh, yea.." Alex trailed off, scratching the back of his ear.
Principal Julia looked at him incredulously. She seems to be asking him if he's for real. The awkwardness that started to fill the room started to rub on the trio.
"A dare?"
Alex nodded, but slightly hesitant. He felt bad for lying to the principal but it would be a lot worse if he tell her the truth. There's no way that she would approve of his side job involving the muggles.
"A dare." she repeated, but sounding more like stating it. Principal Julia then shook her head, looking disbelief
The three wizards exchange glance, signalling one another, asking if their Principal is actually buying Alex's lies. The few minute that felt like centuries has pass, the trio startled a little when they heard Principal Julia sighs
Alex is obviously lying to her but she knew how hard-headed the young wizard could be. So she decided to just let it go, for now. Besides, she still have another appointment to attend too. "Fine." She took a sharp breath before sending glares at the boys, "If you say so, then two weeks detention for all of you, with Professor Sean--"
All three of them trying not to groan out loud but it was a detention with their most least favourite professor after all, that they couldn't even hold back. "--And three parchments length of essay on the Usage of Bubotuber Plants, which I expected to be on my table in three days from now."
