"The plan doesn't change. We have to get to the sewers, so stick together and don't get hit!"

New April grimaced as soon as she heard Leonardo's order. Of course, he wanted them to stick to the plan—and she couldn't blame him either. What else were they supposed to do? No one at the lair was picking up the phone and the team was split in two. Until they got everyone back together, there was little else they could do than hurry back, and topside was too dangerous to travel in.

But the pathway to the sewers was blocked by so many Foot bots that April couldn't even count them... Not to mention they had a limited amount of time before the forcefield swallowed them all whole. This plan was doomed to failure.

"Goongala!" Casey's war cry snapped her into action as the teenager ran headfirst into battle, both Raphs close behind him. The Foot soldiers didn't wait any longer after that, and New April was forced to shove her racing thoughts to the side.

"Just focus on getting to the sewer, April," She whispered to herself, "It'll all be okay as soon as you get back. Just get back to Mikey and Donnie."

With that, New April ran forward and screamed out her own name in defiance, smashing the head off of one bot with her bat and spinning around to block another. She swept one off its feet with a sweep of her leg, and then powered up her bat so it glowed bright pink. Two Foot soldiers snuck up behind her, trying to catch her off guard. April was not fooled. She swung her bat again, branding their metal faces with the heat of its power, and shoved them away.

"Guys!" The shorter Raphael shouted, removing the manhole cover from the sewer entrance, "Quick!"

Panting and running on pure adrenaline, New April sprinted over to the rest of the team as they headed underground. Leonardo was the last one down, slamming the manhole cover down right behind them. New April briefly wondered why he bothered; the Foot would just open it up a few seconds later, ready to pursue them, but she didn't have time to question them.

Besides, it didn't matter if they pursued—she felt safer already. This was Raphael and Leonardo's home turf. No one knew the sewers better than that family, so they would be able to escape the Foot and get back to the lair easily from here. They just had to run.

"This way!" Leonardo said, hurrying ahead to lead the way. New April gasped, looking up and seeing Foot Bots already pouring in after them like a never-ending tidal wave. It was as though they had infinite reinforcements... Although, with how crazy this night was, maybe they did. New April didn't know.

"Looks familiar, huh?" New Raph muttered, fists clenched tightly. They were cracked and bleeding and shaking ever so slightly. New April knew instantly what he was talking about as flashbacks to the night the Kraang kidnapped them all appeared in her mind, and she remembered that rooftop game turning into disaster... The Kraang were easy to take out, but there were just so many of them. It was eerily similar to this situation.

"I wish it didn't look this familiar..." New April muttered. "But I think we'll be okay."

New Raph chuckled bitterly. "But it's horrible out there, and just as I thought maybe we'd have a chance... It looks like it'll be nearly impossible to win now."

"Don't talk like that, Raph!" New April exclaimed, horrified. What was he talking about? He couldn't give in now, not after all they've done. "We have a chance if we keep fighting!"

New Raph sucked in a deep breath of air. New April wished more than anything that she had time to comfort and help him. Raph needed to stay strong because he was the foundation of the team. If he didn't believe something was worth fighting in, no one would, and she wouldn't let that happen...but how could she help when the Foot were now in the tunnels with them?
