Narrates Max:

We planned everything perfectly, we decided to meet in a fast food restaurant with games for children. We arrived with Nat, he did not know that my friend who wanted to meet him was actually the judge who was handling his case; and he was there waiting for us.

- Hi Nat, it's nice to meet you. Max talks a lot about you.

- Do your friends know about me?

- Sure, you're very important. But, he's here because he wants to ask you some questions.

- Do I have to answer them all?

- Don't worry, just tell him the truth, okay?

After saying that, I shook his hair a little and when I felt that I wanted to kiss him on the forehead; I stopped. However, since the table was closed, I was able to take his hand from under him, so the judge did not notice it and could start questioning him.

- Do you like Max?

- Very much.

- And your mom?

- I don't know, my mom has changed a lot.

- Does he treat you differently? -Nat looks at me worried and I pressed his hand a little.

- My mom hits me, when Max is not.

- Would you like to live alone with Max?

- I would love that, but how could I live alone with him?

- How about this? She left you with Max for now; But I promise to do what he can to help you, okay?

- Yes, thank you very much.

The judge shook Nat's hand, but he got up to hug him, because he looked very happy, and I am too, he said he would help us. I left Nat eating and accompanied the judge, he wanted him to tell me if my child's confession would help me to have custody of him.

- As I see it, it would be easier and faster if you were the biological father.

- I know, I'm just the mother's husband.

-Even though Nat doesn't have your last name, legally he is your stepson; and having married the mother will be very helpful, just wait for the resolution.

After his last words, he left, the truth is that he was shocked by Nat's answers. I just went back to the table with my son, we ate and then I took him to an amusement park; since as long as we were away from his mother, we were happy.

About a month passed, Nat and I doing our best to be away from home as long as necessary. One day, I asked him about his diary, he made me curious if I was being mentioned there; but he told me that he had run out a few days ago.

A couple of days later, I went to a bookstore to buy him a new one, while there, I got a message from the judge and I ran to the court. The resolution was ready, legally Nat was my responsibility, any decision about him had to be made by me.

I returned home, in the new newspaper, I put the resolution, I wanted to give him a double gift, but nobody was there when I arrived. On the floor near the kitchen, I found his diary, it was almost burned, when I picked it up, it had some pages in perfect condition; although I did not dare to read them.

I started looking for him like crazy all over the house, I was fucking desperate, every second, it was harder to breathe. Soon, I feel my cell phone ringing, and I remember that I gave one to Nat, in case of an emergency, to get home faster.

- Mom, where are you taking me? Max will be very angry with you!

- Do you think Max will find you? You will never see it again! - I start recording the call.

- Mom please stop, I don't want to go with you.

- Because you want to keep what is mine, right?

- I never wanted to have anything of yours...

- And your father? I told you to keep your mouth shut, not to tell her about my affair with Jimmy's father! But no, you tell him and he dies of a heart attack, you left me a widow!

- Mom, don't do it please...

- SHUT UP! You took your father from me, so I'll take Max from you.

At that moment I get a message: "Help me, I beg you! Don't let him take me away!" I activate the tracker on his cell phone; he's on the move but stops suddenly and I called the police, being Nat's legal guardian, she was kidnapping him so I reported him.

Immediately, they started with the GPS, but she didn't take the car I gave her, but the other one; I should have dumped that damn car. Then they decided to follow the cell phone locator, the route was heading towards a spectacular accident on the main road.

After a few minutes of driving, I find the place where my child's cell phone was lying and I pick it up. I keep driving in that direction like crazy, I know I have to find it or I'll die; but I didn't get anything and suddenly, my cell phone rang again.

It was an officer, saying that they had found two bodies in a hospital morgue, which were almost unrecognizable. I went over there and sure enough, I had my boy's clothes, but in my heart, I knew it wasn't Nat, so I told him.

- He's not Nat, they should keep looking.

- Mr. Saran, I know it's difficult but...

- HE DON'T LISTEN TO ME! I TELL HIM THAT IS NOT MY CHILD!

- Calm down! Okay, we'll keep looking.

But they didn't do anything, not even procedural DNA testing, they just pronounced Nat dead. So I found my own means to prove that this child was not mine; the only lab willing to do the tests was in Switzerland, but that didn't stop me.

Two weeks had passed, nobody was looking for Nat, I went out every morning, searching hotels, apartments and others. I carried a picture of him with me and showed it to everyone I saw; I even put up posters all over the city, hoping someone would give me news.

Meanwhile, every night, I would go to Nat's bed and cry for hours for not keeping my promise to protect him. I felt guilty, the court could have waited, but I was in a hurry; And one night, they slipped a letter under the door, so I went through it.

- I KNEW IT! You're still alive my boy! And I swear I'll find you.

I couldn't sleep since he wasn't with me, so I took the documents and went straight to the police station. When they saw them, they were shocked, they quickly started the paperwork for the immediate search for my Nat, but two weeks had already passed.

Although I must admit that it was better with help, I knew that because of the time, it was almost impossible for them to appear...
