It was July eighth. Sun-rays beamed through the small line of the curtains. Ilu closed her eyes and pushed as hard as she could. The woman in labor crushed her husbands hand and Ridder was crying due to the pain.
"AHHHHHH!" Ilu shouted.
Her bottom half felt like it was about to blow up, her brain couldn't feel anything but the pain.
"Push!" One of the midwifes said.
Ilu was pushing, but the her children didn't even budge.
"We'll have to do a C-section. I don't see the head." The midwife said.
"Please be gentle with her." Ridder said.
"I'll try." Said the widwife taking out a clean blade. She cut Ilus bulging womb and healing mages surrounded her. Ilu had passed out due to the pain and knowing she no longer had to push she decided to accept defeat. The woman quickly cleaned her hands and made an incision on Ilus uterus. "Close the blinds damnit!" She shouted. One of her assistants quickly rushed towards the curtains and closed them shut so light couldn't blind the babies. The woman carefully took one of the infants and picked them up. Ridder quickly approached the child and cut its umbilical. "One more to go." She then gave the infant to one her assistants for cleanup and began to take out the other child.

The Silvas and Starias were sitting outside the room all hesitant. Asta was excited, but hearing his sisters scream scared him. Nozel had told him that it was normal for a woman to scream during childbirth, but Asta didn't like the idea of his sister being in pain. Liebe was currently rapidly shaking his right leg due to the anxiety he felt. Like Asta, Ilus screams had made him worry.
"How long is this going to take?" Noelle asked.
"They should be done soon." Julius replied. The man radiated excitement. Having his own grandchildren was a first. He wished his old friends could have been here for the special moment, but they were all gone. The only ones closest to his friends were their offsprings.
"Oh I can't wait any longer. I need to see if Ilu's okay." Asta said getting up from his seat. The boy was quickly wrapped in mercury and Nozel glared at him.
"Don't be impatient. If you just barge in there then you'll distract the midwives from their work." Nozel said. The man placed Asta back to his seat and huffed. "Although, they should be done by now. I'm guessing they're cleaning the newborns right now." He said.
Asta muffled beneath the layer of mercury and Nozel uncovered his mouth. The boy gasped for air and said, "I just want to know if my sister is fine."
"She's fine Asta. Just don't worry about it too much." Julius said.
"Yeah Asta. I heard that child birth just hurts a lot, so that could explain her screaming. Also, I'm sure Ridder wouldn't let Ilu get hurt badly." Noelle said.
"I swear Ridder cares for Ilu more than us." Solid said with his arms folded.
"Well, she is his wife. If my bo- I mean... my umm. Umm." Nebra was interrupted.
"If your what? Nebra. What were you going to say?" Nozel asked with his brow twitching.
Nebra turned away to hide her blush. She was embarrassed for nearly blurting out her secret relationship, but Nozel had caught on. "N-n-nothing. It shouldn't worry you Nozel." She said averting his older brothers gaze.
