A nice breeze blew through Licitas hair. Her puppy kept licking her face causing her to giggle. She saw her village hidden behind a group of trees. "This way." She said.
Anthony followed the girl and saw a small village. He saw farmers plowing their small fields and they all looked up waving at the girl.
"Good afternoon Licita." They said.
"Hi everyone!" Licita greeted. The girl approached the farmers and took out a small bottle. She waved her finger and a brown fog escaped the bottle. "I got the firewood for everyone." She said.
"Thank you Licita. What would we do without you." A man said picking the wood up.
"Without me you'd have to get many things yourself." Licita said keeping a smile.
The men laughed and stopped their laughter seeing Anthony. One of the men approached the teen and gave him a dirty look.
"Who's this boy?" The man asked.
"He's a magic knight. I think he said he was lost, so I decided to help him. We're gonna have lunch at my home soon." Licita answered.
The man looked at Licita giving her a questionable look. "Are you sure it's safe to bring a boy? No one wants anything bad happening to you again." He quietly said.
Licita chewed her lip and looked down. "He doesn't seem like a bad person. Also, he's a magic knight. So it's fine Nicholas." She said.
Nicholas nodded and approached Anthony. "If you hurt her, then me and everyone in this village will kill you." He whispered.
Anthony froze at the mans threat and sweated profusely. "Why would I hurt her?" He asked.
"Good question. I'll keep my eye on you." Nicholas said. The man walked away taking the firewood into his small home.
Licita scavenged through her bag and was searching for something. "Oh no." She said.
Anthony looked at the girl who was worried. "What's wrong?" He asked.
"My diary. I can't find my diary!" She shouted. The girl emptied all the contents of her bag and frantically looked around. A girl half her age approached her with a book.
"Big sister Licita. You dropped this before Baxter ran away... again." The girl said.
Licita sighed in relief. She grabbed the book and flipped through every page to make sure it was all intact. "Thank goodness. I thought I lost you." She said hugging the book.
Anthony looked at the girl with a stoic expression. "Yep. She's crazy." He thought.
Licita placed everything back into her bag and dusted her clothes. "Well, it's time for lunch." She said.
"Ehh... I think I'll pass. All of a sudden I'm not so hungry anymore." Anthony said. The man said one thing, but his stomach told a different story. His stomach grumbled and the girl looked at him with her lips squished and eyes squinted.
"What a liar. Come on, lunch doesn't cook itself y'know." She said walking away.
Anthony sighed and followed the girl. He noticed that the puppy stayed with the little girl and was playing fetch. "So your dog just plays with everyone?" He asked.
"He loves everyone that's nice to him." Licita replied.
"Then why did he bite me? I was being nice to him." Anthony said.
