Chapter 5: Ritual

Narrator Pov
The sun was rising, birds chirping, and sunlight made its way stretching throughout the kingdom of clover. Focusing on a room in a palace we can see two lovebirds snuggled close to each other.

Ridders Pov
I'm in such a comfortable position right now. She smells so nice, her skin is so soft, and I love how she's hugging me. I can feel the sunlight hit my eyelids, I open my eyes and find a beautiful sight. Ilu sleeping while hugging me tight, the sunlight reflecting on her beautiful gray hair, and her smiling while she's asleep. I wonder what she's dreaming about. I look at the time to find out it's 6 in the morning. According to Yami, Nacht will report to the Wizard King at 3 pm today. I have time, I hug use that time to admire the beauty in front of me. I play with her soft hair a bit, but it seems that woke her up. "Morning love." Ilu says to me. "Morning beautiful." I say before kissing her, she corresponds to the kiss and after a couple of seconds we break away. I look at her and her smile fades away. "Riddy. I know what we did yesterday was intense, and I loved it. I wouldn't mind being in a romantic relationship with you, although this is a first for me. Last night was also a first for me, but I'm worried." Ilu said with a frown. "What are you worried about? You know I love you, what I said yesterday was all true. Yes I was a drunk Idiot at the time, but I was an honest drunk idiot." I hear her giggle but then she says "But, my bloodline is.. tainted an-"I cut her off and said "your bloodline isn't tainted. Your bloodline is perfect just the way it is, wanna know why?" I asked. "Why?" Ilu asked looking at me with tears in her eyes. "Because you're you. It doesn't matter if your mother was a peasant, everything you've done has only proved that you're better than every noble and royal I know. Lineage doesn't matter, only our actions do and all of your actions led me to fall in love with you." I told her. I saw her look at me with wide eyes, her mouth was left open. She started smiling and let out a few tears "thank you." She sobbed. "Ever since my father died I was left alone. Every noble and royal I came across belittled me or tried to hurt me. When I met you for the first time you treated me like an actual human being. You were my first real friend, thank you for appearing in my life." She cried into my chest. I hugged her and let her wet my chest with her tears, if anyone has the balls to oppose our relationship I myself will beat them in such a way that they won't be able to remember their own name. After a while she calmed down and looked at me, she closed the distance and kissed me with so much love, of course I did the same and kissed her back. I look at the time and it's already 7am, "well I think we should get ready for breakfast" said Ilu. She got out of bed, but right when she stood up she fell back. "I think you went too rough on me last night, you idiot." Ilu said to me with her face making a cute pout. "Sorry sorry!" I said. "Here, I'll help you." I said as I lifted her up bridal style. "Thats very bold of you" she said to me. "Ironic coming from you, if I remember correctly last night you seemed to be much bolder" i said with a chuckle. "Hey don't say that so loud" she complained while punching my chest. I was only laughing seeing her reaction, there's no doubt about it. I love you Ilu. After bathing and freshening up we both went to the dining room to eat breakfast. "Ridder why are you carrying my sister?" A small gray haired boy asked. "She uhhh hurt her knee this morning, and has trouble walking" I answered. "Oh, Sister does it hurt?" Asta asked a little worried. "No it doesn't hurt little Asta, I just have a hard time walking thats all." Ilu told her brother. "Oh ok." Said the child. I noticed Nozel staring daggers at me, did I do something wrong? We all sat at the table with our breakfast served by the servants. Everyone was eating calmly until I noticed someone missing. "Where's Solid?" I asked. "He told me that he was going to hang out at the capital with some friends." Nozel replied. "That's odd, he usually wakes up late." Nebra said. "He probably had plans for a while now, maybe he woke up early just for today." I said dismissing the topic. It didn't seem to have much importance, what he does isn't my problem. "Thanks for the food!" Said both Asta and Noelle. "Come on Asta lets play hide and seek" said Noelle. "Those two have been playing a lot. Yesterday they were playing the whole day. I'm glad Noelle made a friend her age." Said Nebra. "Now that the kids are gone, I have something to discuss with you two." Said Nozel pointing and me and Ilu. "Whats up?" The both of us said. "You two owe me big time. Last night I woke up because of loud noises." Said Nozel. Ohhh were we that loud? "And it wasn't just noise, but you idiots left the door open." Finished Nozel. "WHAT!!" Shouted Ilu embarrassed "Wait, wait, wait. Ridder, did you and Ilu... do it?" Asked nebra. FUCK. Were we that loud? I thought Ilu closed the door. "I found both the kids playing past their bed times, and they were so close to losing their innocence. If it wasn't for me you would have had a LOT of explaining to do." Said Nozel with a vein bulging from his forehead. "Thank you for your service Nozel." I thanked him. "Truth is that this idiot came in drunk, we clarified our feelings, and then got carried away. Sorry for causing any trouble." Ilu said smiling awkwardly. "Oh my God I have a sister-in-law!" Shouted Nebra excitedly. I saw Ilu chuckle at her reaction, and Nozel was smiling "Just make sure you lock the door next time." Nozel said before getting up. "And Nebra, today is the last day off for the silver eagles so enjoy your time wisely." Nozel told Nebra. Nebra just left thoughtful, probably thinking of how to waste her day. Unlike her I have plans, Nacht is unpredictable so I guess arriving at Julius' office at 12 would be good. I look at the clock to see that it's 8:30 am. I still have time, I guess I could spent it with Ilu.
