"Y-Yuno?" Said Asta who was being hugged by Noelle. "Asta. It's been a long time." Said Yuno in shock. "It's been nearly seven years. I missed you." Asta said giving a small smile. "Who's that guy?" Asked Noelle who was holding on to Asta. "Remember what I told you before we came here? That's him. My first friend and rival." Said Asta.
Six hours ago-Silva palace:
Asta could be seen turning at a fast pace on his bed. "No. No." He mumbled. "Please. Mom. No." Asta whispered letting out a tear. Due to all the movement, Asta shifted near the edge of the bed causing him to fall down. "Ow! What the fuck." Complained Asta rubbing his head. While Asta was rubbing his head, he remembered the dream he had. "These fucking visions." Asta muttered while getting on his bed. Asta looked over at the nightstand and opened the drawer. In the drawer was a small notebook. Asta took out the notebook and a drawing fell out, Asta looked at the drawing and smiled fondly. The drawing was old, something the boy drew years ago. It was a poor drawing of him and his mother. In the picture, the two were smiling and holding hands. On the bottom if the drawing something was poorly written but Asta knew exactly what it said. "Thank you mommy. You're the best mommy in the whole world." Asta read quietly. Asta put the drawing down and opened up the notebook. Asta read through the notebook and felt nostalgia, his mothers handwriting was much easier to read than his. "When I become wizard king, the first thing I'll do is cure my mommy." Asta read silently. While reading the boy had memories of how this notebook became Astas own journal.Flashback: eight years ago
"Asta! I have a surprise for you!" Shouted Licita. Asta who was in his room, ran fast towards his mother. "What is it mommy!?" Asked Asta with excitement. "I got you somethings." Answered Licita. "How?" Asked Asta confused. "A mother has her methods. Now open it and see what it is." Said Licita. Asta took the box from his mother, and ran to the couch to see what he got. "Slow down! You could hurt yourself!" Shouted the boys mother walking towards her son. Licita walked into the living room and saw her child who had a big smile on his face. The scene made Licita smile and a tear slipped out her eye. Licita quickly wiped the tear and sat next to Asta. "Wanna see what it is?" Asked Licita. The boy nodded and quickly opened the box to see three things wrapped in wrapping paper. "What's this?" Asked Asta. "That's your gift." Answered Licita. "But it's just this weird and colorful paper." Said Asta with disappointment. "No silly, rip up the paper." Said Licita while giggling. Asta did as his mother said, he tore the paper off the three items and saw two notebooks and collection of pencils. "What's this?" Asked Asta. "It's two notebooks: one for writing and one for drawing. The other thing is a collection of pencils for your drawings." Answered Licita. "I never drawd before." Said Asta. "It's drew. Also, I can teach you how to draw. We can also write our goals for the future in the other notebook." said Licita. "That sounds great!" Said Asta. "After dinner we can draw and write all you want. I got some fish and I tried a different recipe today." Said Licita. "Mmmm fish." Commented Asta. "Come on now, dinners waiting." Said Licita walking to the kitchen. Asta followed his mother carrying his new things. At the kitchen there were two plates of fish and vegetables, the two sat down next to each other and started eating. "Be careful when eating, remember the fish still has bone in it." Said Licita. Asta nodded and started eating his food making sure not to eat any of the bones. The two ate their dinner, but Asta skipped the vegetables which was noticed by his mother. "Asta, you need to eat your vegetables. How else will you grow big and strong?" Asked Licita taking her fork and picking Astas vegetables. "But they taste funny." Asta complained. "No buts, now eat up." Said Licita bringing the fork to Astas mouth. Asta opened his mouth and took a bite, he slowly chewed and noticed the taste wasn't too bad. "It doesn't taste funny like last time." Said Asta. "I tried something to make them taste better just for you." Said Licita. "Thanks mom! It's delicious." Said Asta with a smile. "Of course it is, I put all my love in it to make it taste good." Said Licita feeding Asta more of his vegetables. Asta continued to eat the vegetables until they were finished. Once they were finished, Licita took the two plates and put them in the sink. "Let's start drawing." Said Licita. "Yes! I'm gonna draw a lot of things!" Shouted Asta with excitement. "We're also going to be writing." Said Licita. Asta opened up his new pencil collection and looked at every one of them. There was a large variety of colors and some sketch pencils. "Let's start with something easy. What do you have in mind Asta?" Asked Licita. "I don't know. Maybe we could draw a picture of us." Suggested Asta. "What a good idea sweetie." Said Licita. Asta looked over at his new collection of pencils and picked out a black colored pencil. He grabbed the pencil in a questionable position, so his mother grabbed his hand and adjusted it. "When drawing you should grab a pencil like this." Said the boys mother keeping her hand on Astas. "Why do I hold it like that?" Asked Asta. "Because then your drawing will look better." Answered Licita. "Ohh ok." Said Asta. Asta closed his eyes and tried to imagine his mother and him in front of the cabin so he could have an idea of what to draw, he took some time so his mother spoke up. "Having trouble about thinking what to draw?" Asked Licita. "Yes. I want to draw me and you, but I can't think of it." Said Asta. "What do you mean?" Asked the mother. "I mean that I don't know what to do." Answered Asta. Astas answer didn't really satisfy Licita, so she had an idea. "Let's go outside for a minute." Said Licita. "Why?" Asked Asta. "So you can find some inspiration for your drawing." Answered Licita. "Oooh inspiration." Said Asta going outside with his mother. Once the two went outside Licita said "Now step away and take a good look at what you see." "Are we doing this so I can have a better time imagining the drawing?" Asked Asta. Licita was surprised by Astas question, she didn't think her son could ask a smart question. Although, Licita did realize that Asta is still growing and even he could develop intelligence. "Exactly. Also, that was a smart question my little baby." Said Licita tenderly. "I'm not a baby anymore!" Complained Asta. "You'll always be my little baby. Now come on and take a good look, your mothers beauty can't always shine like right now." Said Licita. Asta took a good look and stared at the scene for a while, eventually he got an idea. "Mommy, I'm gonna come back. I'm gonna get my notebook and pencil!" Said Asta running back into the cabin. Licita sighed, but also smiled. The smile quickly faded away by sudden coughing fits. The coughing became stronger rapidly, eventually Licita started to cough out blood. "Damn, just when I thought I was fine. Asta can't find out about this." Licita said to herself. The woman took out a napkin and wiped her mouth and hands, soon Asta came running back with his notebook and pencil. "Don't run when you're holding a sharp object." Licita scolded a bit weakly. "Sorry mommy." Apologized Asta. Asta noticed that his mother was sitting on the ground and asked "Why are you on the ground?" "I just felt like sitting down." Lied Licita. "Well stand up mommy, I'm gonna draw the drawing now!" Said Asta all excited. Licita stood up and posed in a way making her look pleasant. Asta saw the scene and began to draw with all his effort. While Asta was drawing, Licita was waiting patiently so her son could be happy with his result. "The weather has been nice recently, maybe me and Asta could go for a walk tomorrow." Thought Licita. "Done!" Shouted Asta which alerted Licita. "Let's see the drawing." Said Licita walking up to her son. "I am such a good drawer." Commented Asta smugly. Licita sat down next to Asta and looked at the drawing. The drawing somewhat surprised her, she noticed that Asta also managed to add himself into the drawing and made them hold hands. In the drawing, behind the two was the cabin which was poorly drawn but to her it was perfect because it was her sons first drawing. Licita smiled and her smile grew bigger when she saw what was written at the bottom. "Thank you mommy! You are the best mommy in the world!" Was poorly written at the bottom. "It's such a wonderful drawing." Said Licita giving Asta a warm hug. "I made this just for you. I love you mommy." Said Asta returning the hug. "And I love you my sweet little baby." Said Licita kissing Astas face multiple times. The kisses tickled Astas little face causing him to start giggling. "What's so funny?" Asked Licita holding her son. "The kisses are tickling me." Answered Asta rubbing his face with his mothers. "Want to know what else tickles?" Asked Licita. "What?" Asked Asta. "The tickle monster!" Yelled Licita tickling Asta. The boy started to laugh loudly while being tickled by his mother. "Stop! Stop!" Said Asta in between his laughter. Licita ignored him and kept on tickling her child, but eventually she stopped tickling him and smiled seeing the look on his face. A couple of days ago, Asta had said he wished he was dead. That day had left Licita heartbroken; her sweet and innocent child wished for something that was her worst nightmare. "Oh Asta, I'm sorry if I can't always be there to keep you happy. I don't think I have much time left in this world, but I'll make every second of your life be filled with happiness." Thought Licita remembering her deteriorating health. Licita stared at Astas face which was covered with a bright smile, she smiled back at her son and gave him a kiss on his forehead. "Let's go back inside now, the sun is almost down." Said the boys mother. "Okay." Said Asta picking up his things. The two got up from the ground and started to walk back into their home, "Mommy." Said Asta. "What is it son?" Asked Licita. "Does the Wizard King live in a castle?" Asked Asta. "They do. Why do you ask?" Asked Licita. "Because when I become Wizard King and cure your curse, we can live in a big castle. Just like in those books you read me." Answered Asta. Licita smiled hearing her son talk about his dreams again, "We should write that down in your new notebook so you don't forget." Said Licita. "I can also write down more things. Like what to eat and when to train." Added Asta. "That's a great idea sweetheart." Said Licita opening the door for her and Asta. The two went back inside and went over to the living room to look for Astas other notebook. "Have you found it?" Asked Licita. "I think I left it in the kitchen." Said Asta walking to the kitchen table. "Found it!" Exclaimed Asta. "Bring it here!" Licita shouted from the living room. "Coming!" Yelled Asta running to where his mother is. Asta jumped onto the couch landing right next to his mother and opened to the first page of his notebook. "What should I write?" Asked Asta. "Maybe you could start with writing down what you want to do." Said Licita. "What I want to do?" Questioned Asta. "Yeah, like your dreams and plans for the future." Said Licita. "Hmmm." Said Asta. Asta was currently in thought because he didn't know where to start, Licita looked at him and helped him a bit. "Maybe we can start with your dream of being wizard king?" Asked Licita. Asta nodded and took a pen and started to write down "When I become Wizard king the first thing I'll do is cure mommy." Wrote Asta. Asta looked up to see his mother reading what he wrote and saw her tear up and smile. The tear scared Asta because he thought his mother was sad. "Why are you crying?" Asked Asta. Licita quickly wiped her tear and answered "I'm not crying, I just have something in my eye." "Oh ok." Said Asta believing his mother. "Anyway, I think that's a perfect start. You can even practice your writing now, it could use some improvement." Said Licita packing the two new notebooks and pencils. "What are you doing with my new stuff?" Asta asked his mother. "I'm going to keep them in a safe place so they don't get lost." Answered Licita. "Oh ok." Said Asta right before yawning. "Sounds like someones tired." Said Licita. "I'm not that tired." Said Asta laying down on the couch. "Let's get you to bed, but first I'll quickly put this away." Said Licita. Upon hearing that Asta groaned and started to complain. "But I don't wanna go to bed. I'm not even tired." Whined Asta. "I know you're tired and you need your sleep." Argued Licita. "Just a couple more minutes, please?" Begged Asta. Licita looked at Asta who was pouting his face and making an adorable face. It was hard not to comply so Licita sighed and said "Fine. Just a couple more minutes and then you'll be in bed." "Yess!" Exclaimed Asta ecstatically. Licita sighed, but soon smiled seeing Astas smile. Her sons smile really was contagious. Licita quickly opened up the bottom drawer of the buffet table and put all of Astas things in there. After putting away everything she walked to her son and asked "what are you gonna do with that little amount of time you have now?" "Can we read a story?" Asked Asta. "I was planning on reading one to you before you fell asleep." Answered Licita. "Oooh which story?" Asked Asta. "One of your choice." Answered Astas mother. "Can we read the story about the first wizard king?" Asked Asta. "Of course we can. But first, you need to change and get ready for bed." Said Licita. "Okay!" Said Asta while jumping off the couch. The boy walked up to his room and quickly changed into his pajamas. Licita followed her son and saw him laying on his bed holding his favorite story book, she smiled and grabbed a chair placing it next to Astas bed. "My my. Someones really eager for story time." Said Licita. "I love this story!" Exclaimed Asta. "I know you do. Let me tuck you in first so you can be all cozy and comfy." Said Licita. Asta felt his mother take his sheets and wrap it around him, Licita then flattened the sheets to make it look nice. "Are you comfy?" Asked Licita. Asta nodded and gave his mother a bright smile. "Good. Now time for the story" said Licita opening the skinny book. "Long ago in the clover kingdom, a special mage with the only four leaf grimoire had saved the kingdom singlehandedly. How he saved the kingdom you may ask? He saved the kingdom by stopping a big demon from destroying the kingdom. The demon was a very big and strong monster who destroyed everything in its path. The mage with the special grimoire used his light magic to fight against the demon. After a long and hard fought battle the demon was defeated, but sadly the battle took a big toll on the mage. Due to the aftermath of the battle the mage had turned into a statue and sadly died. Because of his heroism and bravery, the citizens of clover had given him the title of the first wizard king." Read Licita. "When I grow up I'll be even stronger than the first wizard king." Said Asta. The exhaustion in Astas voice was evident to his mother, her son did love to use up all of his energy. "I'm sure you'll become the best and strongest wizard king." Said Licita closing the book. "Mommy. Do you really think I could be wizard king?" Asked Asta. "Of course I do. Just remember to never doubt yourself okay?" Said Licita. "I promise to never doubt myself. I'll train and once I become wizard king we can live in a big castle together." Said Asta. Licita smiled and said "I'll be waiting. I know it'll happen because I believe in you Asta." Said Licita. "Thank you mommy. I love you." Said Asta before letting out a big yawn. "I love you too sweetie." Said Licita. Licita placed the book on Astas desk and placed back the chair, she then went back to Asta and gently kissed his forehead. "Goodnight Asta." Said Licita. "Goodnight mommy." Said Asta before going to sleep. Licita turned off the lamp and left to close the door. Before leaving the room she took one last look at Asta to see him being fast asleep, after looking at her son she smiled and closed the door.
