Chapter -56

Ryan's POV:

"He's all yours, let me know if you want a hand but I want him dead before the sunrise" I was surprised, I didn't think aadya would go to this extent for her friend. If others got to know the demon god was tortured by her she'd be the victim of everyone's hate. Each and everyone around the kingdom would question her. He was a demon god and he's being worshipped even today for placing the demons on the top position of authority and control when he was alive.

I could see her being dragged by her sister but i couldn't care less because of the drama they'd put on was always way too much to handle anyway.

"She didn't kill her." Nichole appeared out of blue. Not this topic again.

"How could you prove that? You can't can you? Then why don't you shut up?"

"Because we don't want to lose her again.  You know something, she created a false rumour that she and Tiffany were married infact they were more than sisters and friends. Jennie used to be jealous of her. Tiffany was done with life the moment she gave birth to mizu, she didn't want to live. But aadya promised to make her life better. Then one day she volunteered to bring lunch for aadya, usually she never leaves home without aadya, but that day she did because she knew only aadya can save mizu and you. I'm not saying she died for you or mizu, she died for herself. Aadya filled hope in her to find her husband and you, we don't know from she heard it she heard you and your brother were killed by the demon goddess melisa. She couldn't take it, but she wanted mizu to live, she realised someone was trying to find her and mizu but she didn't want to tell aadya because then aadya would be with her 24/7 and she'd not get a chance to die. She lost hope in life. And..."

She kept speaking but I didn't have time to listen i just realised how rude i was to aadya. How my misunderstanding her made me act out of line, i had to find her.
I followed the path through which Jennie took her and finally found them.

They were talking and aadya was looking she's lost for words, i tried to listen but what I've heard broke my heart.

" The prophecy is making you bare this bullshit and everything, just let him go and you will be back with all the other alphas we have had."

"There is no way I'm doing this just for some prophecy jenni dont be ridiculous. Did you not hear what mizu called him out there? He's my daughter's father. I can't take it away from her. Not again."

" So what? She'll understand she is a very intelligent girl I'm sure she will atleast be tension free. Do you even realise how the fights between you both effects her? Do you even realise how toxic you both are? why is he still so important to be in your life?"

"I didn't realise that.... I forgot about that"
My heart sank at those words, how did we forget about her, maybe we are not so grown up to be her parents but we could have atleast been a good caretakers.

"Is it because he's the person who can easily take her away from you? Legally? Is that what you are afraid of? Come on we are the ones who make laws here if you want to you can get rid of him in a second. What happened to the real aadya? The one who'd do anything for her family"

"But he is my family you don't know how mizu loves him"

"Does that really matter? Think about it aadya if you don't take things under control you'll really regret it. This time you might really lose everyone around you in the name of love or prophecy.  It's you who should take the decision."

My head started spinning, i left the place when Jennie started to leave. I came outside and sat there thinking of what we were like the past few days, trying to understand everything from a little girls perspective. We must have made her really helpless, I've slapped myself.

"Shall I help you with that?" My sister came from behind.

"Looks you have finally realised what you were doing. Ryan she loved Tiffany. She could have took the world down for her, but she was as alone as you were at that time. She was lost. Do you remember how you were when you first took her blood. It was worse for her, she didn't wake up for five years. When she finally did, she was nothing like her. Then came Tiffany and she was the one who saved aadya, aadya was in no place to save her at that time. It's ok brother we do mistakes but we are lucky to have people who try to understand us. Try talking to her, please go easy on her because, she still blames herself for Tiffany's death. And you just added gasoline to it. Be careful with your words from here on, we all heard how you spoke to her. You are just like her. Go home with her and talk to her okay?"

I nodded and went to car where luckily aadya was, she was placing mizu softly inside the car and where was she going without me. She looks real mad, as if she doesn't want to be here anymore could it be because of what Jennie spoke about. I would have reacted the same way, so was she finally giving up on me.

"Where do you think you are taking my daughter?"

"From when was she your daughter?" She slammed the car door so hard it startled me. But what she said makes me loose my sense too, nobody is taking my daughter away from me.

"She is my daughter. She is my family and no I'm not letting you take her away from me Aadya. Never!"

Seriously aadya? The name feels so odd and bitter on my lips, why can't we talk normally for once. She suddenly froze in her steps and i can finally know why, mizu was muffling her cries inside the car. Damn did we scare her again.

"Not now Ryan, please let's talk later. Not infront of mizu please. "

"I'm coming home with you. Let me check on mizu first."

As soon as i got into the car mizu was acting asleep, as if she wasn't just crying because of us fighting. I took her into my arms and wiped away her tears, whispering a few it's alright into her ears. Going home I was stuck thinking about how we both used to talk about aadya all the time waiting for her to come back, sure i lost the memories of our intimacy but she came back into my life again and she even made me fall for her against my own mate. That day i was thinking of her and even now i am thinking of how we three are good only when we are together.

Lost in thoughts i didn't realise we reached home before i could open the door aadya opened it with a scowl on her face. She lead me as i carried mizu upstairs to her room. I left to get changed while aadya stayed

"Are you sleeping pops?" She wasn't calling aadya mother and that scared me because what if she doesn't consider me her dad either.

"No baby, you are not sleeping either are you." I look at them standing in the darkness.

"Make up with him." She spoke silently.
"I know I'm just a kid, that's what everyone says but I want both mom and dad. I love it when we are together. I want to go on those rides again with the both of you. He's fun pops, please let him stay." No mother? Pops?  Again? We gotta work real hard now.

"Are we scaring you baby?"

"Please stop fighting, i want both of you."

"I promise."

"Really?"

I left to my room, i was lost in thought again. Would she still think of staying together if it wasn't for mizu? If it wasn't for the prophecy? Would i really matter to her? I couldn't take the various other negative thoughts filling up my brain so i knocked on her days after a long time and it was open. I rushed in without a single thought and said.

"Let's get married."  She was shook so was i but i really wanted to know if she'd do it.

"What? You want to marry me? But am i not the killer again?" She walked rather furiously kicking away the chair she was sitting on.

"Maybe you are but I don't want to loose mizu, what if you really get rid of me." That was my fear speaking and im sure she doesn't want to see it.

"What makes you think you are worthy of it? Sure maybe i should indeed get rid of you. "

"Then kill me at once."

"No you first will learn to obey the royals. You will learn how to talk to royals. I will have to teach you good."

"Then teach me." She pushed me down onto my knees just the way they push down slaves, right wasn't i already her slave to begin with. She bends to my face level and raises my chin up, biting her lips she whispered in my ears,

"Beg for it."
