I walked through the park once more, but this time, I was alone. My eyes scanned around the park, noticing the various families spending time outside together on such a lovely day. There were a few couples from various high schools in the area spending time together. Whether the couples were just sitting idly by each other, running around together, walking together, or even bickering with each other, I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy.

A sigh left my lips as I looked up towards the sky. The clouds were fluffy and light, just like yesterday, and the sun was bright and beaming down onto me. The bright blue sky was such a beautiful hue. A warm smile made its way to my face as I remembered all of Tooru's compliments from the day before.

I continued to walk through the bustling park, searching for the large cherry blossom tree that Tooru had told me to meet him by. When I had finally found it, I walked up, and I noticed how he wasn't there yet.

"Boo!" Tooru jumped out from behind the tree and wrapped his arms around me.

"AAH! T-Tooru! Don't do that!" I pouted. "You scared me."

Tooru giggled. "Sorry sorry, you were just taking so long to get here, and I wanted to surprise you somehow, so I felt like this was sufficient."

I sighed, a warm smile finding its way to my face once more. "I guess that's alright, but why did you make me come here anyways?"

"Ah! That reminds me what I actually wanted to talk about." Tooru beamed down at me. He unwrapped his arms from around my torso and walked to stand directly in front of me.

"So, Y/N, my prince, my love, my darling, the love of my life," Tooru started, and he was prepared to continue listing the various nicknames that he decided to suddenly give me, until I cut him off.

"Alright alright, I get it, what is it that you want to talk to me about?"

Tooru cleared his throat, "Yeah, sorry, guess I got a bit side tracked for a moment there." Tooru shook his head. "Anyways, the thing I wanted to talk to you about is actually the little deal that we made three weeks ago."

"What I just wanted to say is, I love you with all of my heart, Y/N, and I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you, and I understand if you don't wish to be with me, but I feel like I've just fallen for you even more over the past few weeks. It's kind of weird to think about just how much has happened and how many emotions I've felt over the past three weeks, but I don't think that I hated it. If anything, I'd say that I love dating you and being with you."

My breath hitched in my throat, and I couldn't speak, so Tooru continued.

"I don't know if this is too much, or too soon, but I want to be with you forever, Y/N." Tooru reached his hand into his pocked and pulled something out. "If you don't want this, then you don't have to accept this, but I want to offer you these promise rings." Tooru held out his hand to reveal two golden rings, each ring having its own chain attached to it. "I want us to promise each other that we'll stay together, and one day, when we're old enough, we'll get married and have an amazing life, just the two of us."

"So, Y/N, will you accept this ring, and accept me?" Tooru tilted his head to the side, a playful smile dancing across his lips.

Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes. I rushed forward and wrapped my arms around Tooru's neck, pulling his face close to mine. "Yes, yes I would love to be with you forever, Tooru." I said, my voice barely a whisper.

Tooru's eyes widened, and tears began to pool at the corners of his eyes as well. "Can I kiss you, Y/N?" I nodded, and Tooru pressed his lips against mine in a passionate kiss. His arms wrapped around my waist as he held me close.

The moment we broke away from the kiss, I lifted my hands to Tooru's face and wiped away the tears. "Why are you crying, Tooru?" I asked, my voice low and gentle.

"I thought that you were gonna say no..." Tooru mumbled. "I'm just so happy that you said yes."

"I'm really happy too." I interlaced my fingers with Tooru's, and the two of us stood there, holding each other close.

Tooru pulled his hand away from mine, and he placed the necklace into my hand. I giggled as I lifted it up and secured it loosely around his neck. Tooru smiled, and he did the same to me.

"I love you, Y/N L/N."

"I love you too, Tooru Oikawa."
