Angel found herself running into the bushes and trees, wanting to get as far away from the town as possible. Ace, of course, followed her without pausing. Neither said a word as she used her book to push the branches aside. Though Ace did notice she kept trying to let them fling back at him.

"I swear to god if one of them fucking hits me, you're dead." He mumbled as he continued to follow her.

"Now would I do something like that?" She asked as she turned to face him, smiling her sweetest smile.

He shook his head at her. "Oh no you can't pull that soft look anymore, I know exactly what you're like." He mumbled as he pushed past her, nudging her into the bush.

Angel clambered out as she huffed at him. "What do you care anyway? I thought Ace Merrill was the ladies man himself?" She mumbled as she followed after him.

"You think I care that you fucked him?" He asked as he continued walking, avoiding eye contact.

"You don't?" She asked after a moment.

Ace shook his head slowly. "Why would I?"

Angel shrugged slightly as they reached a clearing in the woods. Ace watched as Angel went to the middle and sat down on the grass, putting her book to the side.

"That Razor said you two used to be a thing?" He asked as he slowly sat down opposite her.

Angel shrugged and nodded. "Somewhat, we were never what you'd class as official." She mumbled, using her fingers to create quotation marks as she said official.

"You just fucked?" He asked curiously.

Angel sighed as she spun her body around and lay down flat on the grass. Ace moved himself as he lay down opposite her, his face close to hers except they were both upside down to the other.

"It only happened the once at a party my brother threw..." she started. "Then it just kinda became a thing that happened whenever we all got drunk. He wanted to be more but I didn't want to be more involved in the whole gang thing so I shut it down." She mumbled as she looked at his upside down face, feeling her fingers twiddling together on her stomach.

Ace nodded slowly against the grass. "It happens I guess." He mumbled, unsure of what else to say.

"Anyway that's kinda why I did it last night."

"You were both drunk?" He questioned.

Angel shook her head, "No, it's just now if I want him to shut up or stop bugging me for something, I can kinda use it to my advantage."

"What he do?"

Angel finally returned her gaze to him. "Wanted to know about you and the others, wanting to know what you all did, like drugs, cars? That sorta thing."

Ace felt his stomach tense. "So you slept with him?"

Angel nodded slowly. "Saved telling him."

"You'd rather sleep with him than tell him what I was doing?" He asked again, almost as if the fact wasn't sinking in.

Angel nodded again. "I agreed to keep it a secret didn't I?"

Ace smiled slightly. "Yeah you did, just didn't realise how far you'd go to keep it."

Angel shrugged slightly as a comfortable silence fell between them.

"What's in the book?" Ace finally asked, finding himself wanting to change the subject.

Angel sat up and grabbed it, turning to him she handed it to him. He brought his knees up so the book could rest against his legs as he started to flick through. Angel lay back down as she watched him slowly go through the drawings of people she'd seen and people she loved.

"These are fucking amazing..." he mumbled as he continued to flick through.

Just wait till you see yours, Angel thought sarcastically before realising. Shit. She quickly sat up and was about to grab the book but froze as flicked the page over and his appeared.

"You drew me?" He asked silent as Angel sat there uncomfortably.

He tilted his head to look up at her slowly as she didn't answer.

"Maybe." She mumbled as she looked away.

A small smile came to Ace's face as he turned back to the drawing. "You missed the scar above my eye." He mumbled.

Angel laughed slightly as she shoved his shoulder before grabbing her case holding her pencils. Shuffling herself around to lie the same way as him she pulled out a couple of pencils and let one rest on chest as she glanced down at him, he had a small indented scar above his eyebrow.

Angel turned back to the drawing and gently felt her chin rest on his shoulder as she slowly added it in, occasionally switching between the pencils to make it the right shade. Every time she looked back at him, he gave her a small smile as she finally finished the little extra details.

When she was finished she gently let her head rest back down on the grass.

"Better?" She asked, tilting her head back up to him.

He gave her a small smile in return. "Better."

Angel gave him a soft smile as she sat up and picked her pencils up from his chest and went to put them away.

"Hey, who said you were done?" He asked sarcastically.

Angel looked down at him confused. "Well what else is there? I've already drawn all the little details."

"You haven't drawn this." Ace mumbled as he gestured between them.

Angel glanced between them in realisation. "You want me to draw us like this?"

He nodded slowly. "Prove how good you are." His confidence oozed from his cocky smile.

Angel grinned down at him as she picked up her first pencil. "Hold the book still then."

Ace grinned as he let Angel rest her chin on his shoulder again as he gripped the book tight. Her pencil hit the page and he watched in fascination as their moment was forever captured.
