THIS IS TORTURE
"The heart was made to be broken."
-Oscar Wilde
Brie works us and she works us hard.
Due to the fact that the judges moved the date of The Lodge competition up, we only have a few days to perfect and finish our routines. There's no time for breaks, it's all go, go, go.
At one point Cam stops by to give me the baby to look after and Brie yells at him to leave. No distractions she said, and I wasn't sure if she was talking to me or herself.
I do ask Brie about our classes and what's going to happen with assigned homework and tests coming up. To that she laughed, saying that she's already taken care of it all.
I now find myself coming home from dance practice, yawning and rubbing my eyes. I sent for the car and left mine at the school because I'm too exhausted to drive. I don't really want to fall asleep behind the wheel.
The driver pulls up to the gates protecting the house and I feel a wave of relief wash over me as I picture my bed. When the car is parked outside the front steps, a wave of adrenaline rushes over me and I push the door open and run up the steps and into the house. I get halfway up the steps though when I hear the doorbell ring.
I look around the house and notice that everyone must be upstairs so I sigh and turn for the door. I yank it open weakly and lean agaisnt the door frame for support.
"Hey Princess." I hear Cam's voice and I open my eyes to find him smirking and holding the car seat with the baby secured in it. Over his shoulder is the overnight bag filled with diapers, bottles and clothes.
I sigh and yawn at the same time and Cam chuckles. "Tired?" He asks and I roll my eyes.
"No." I reply sarcastically, but Cam doesn't take it that way because he grins and shoves the car seat in my direction.
"Great, your turn, momma!"
I shove it out of my way and back to Cam and shake my head no. "Cam, I'm exhausted. Please, just take it for the night."
Cam crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow as I sigh, still hold the carriage out to him. "What do I get?" He questions.
"Nothing." I reply obviously.
Cam laughs and shakes his head. "No Princess. What do I get?"
"You can look at my boobs." I reply sarcastically to which Cam chuckles.
"I already do that, what do I get? A thousand dollars?"
I scoff and shake my head which makes him laugh.
"Fine, how about lunch."
I raise my eyebrows and shift my weight to one leg. "Depends, are you buying?"
Cam nods his head yes and I bite my lip as I think it over.
"Fine." I blurt out, shoving the car seat in his direction and he takes it with a large grin plastered to his face.
"Great, I'll pick you up from the studio at noon." He replies and I nod my head.
"Just so you know, I would have done it for the thousand dollars." I laugh, leaning back agaisnt the door frame.
