╚═*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*═╝It was September the first. The first day of term for the young Witches and Wizards of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The magical Platform Nine and Three-Quarters was bustling excitedly with life. The scarlet steam engine known as the Hogwarts Express was alive and preparing to take the students to school, steam billowing out into all directions. Parents were saying final goodbyes to their children, to students loading their trunks and boarding the train, waving from the windows of their compartments, to friends reuniting with one another after the summer break.
One family of four was among the crowd on the platform, the parents here to send off their children to Hogwarts for their first time ever. A woman with luxurious, blonde hair tied upon her head into a beautiful bun, her eyes reflecting the deep blue of the ocean, faint lines painted into the skin of her face, a motherly expression visible. Her arms were embraced tightly around her son, who was attempting to break free of the grip he was in. Euphemia Potter berated her son once again,
"You better behave yourself, James."
James Potter's hazel eyes were now set upon his mother after she had let go of him, nodding vigorously, the motion causing his mop of jet black hair to shake along too. Euphemia narrowed her eyes upon her son, reading that grin on his lips very clearly.
"Don't think you can fool me, Mister, I know that look."
"Mum!" James said in a whiny tone, "I won't cause trouble, honest!" He exclaimed, placing a hand on his chest as a promise to prove his words.
"Jamie, you do realize we can see your fingers crossed behind your back?" The gentle voice of James' sister spoke.
James grumbled, shooting a glare at his sibling, "Be quiet, Fia."
The other Potter twin's chocolate brown swirls radiated kindness and joy back at her brother, who now was curiously glancing up and down the platform in search of other students their age.
"I can't believe my darling is leaving for Hogwarts. Oh, they grow up so fast!" The head of the Potter family proclaimed, blinking back tears that had formed in his eyes. His daughter turned back, her waves of blonde hair inherited from her mother gently flowed along, and she smiled, wrapping her arms around her father's torso.
"I'll miss you too, Dad."
Fleamont Potter hugged his daughter back tightly. Euphemia shook her head with a smile that lessened when her eyes fell upon her daughter in her husband's arms and then over to her son. Both of the Potter parents knew their house wouldn't feel the same once they returned to it.
Fleamont pressed a kiss to his daughter's head, "Love you, Fiona."
Fiona Potter pulled apart and shot her father a rather sad smile, " I love you too, Dad."
