Sirius kept his efforts up more than ever now. He made sure to show how much he really regretted his actions, and one day it paid to be fruitful when Fiona stopped scribbling on her parchment with a loud sigh, and turned to look at Sirius, who was also, for once, doing his homework.

"Sirius?"

Sirius jumped slightly at the sudden attention and felt his heart do a flip after hearing his name from the lips of Fiona Potter.

"Yes, Fiona?"

Fiona closed her eyes as she braced herself before opening them once again, "I think I forgive you."

Sirius stared at her blankly.

"You what?"

Fiona let the faintest of smiles flicker across her pink lips before she spoke, "I forgive you, Sirius. Your efforts show that you genuinely regret your actions and well," She shrugged her shoulders, "Everyone deserves a second chance."

The biggest smile graced Sirius' face in weeks as a huge weight lifted off his shoulders and in his excitement, he leaned over and tightly embraced Fiona, who was taken aback but gently returned the gesture.

"Thank you so much." Sirius murmured against Fiona's neck, "Thank you so much, love. I promise you that you won't regret it."

Fiona just smiled as she rubbed her hand comfortingly up and down Sirius' back in a response.

Things had finally settled down between all the Marauders after Fiona and Sirius had returned to normalcy. Fiona and Sirius were once again looking happy, more than ever. Soon once again, the Gryffindors found themselves brewing Amortentia once again, since Slughorn said he wanted to see improvements from last time, but they all knew it was because the potion was the Head of Slytherin's favorite.

Fiona straightened herself, looking at the contents of her cauldron with satisfaction as the liquid reflected a mother of sheen pearl shade.

Fiona leaned slightly forwards, dipping her head closer to the potion. She inhaled deeply, looking forward to smelling all her favorite scents. However her face drained of all colour when her senses flooded with the scents.

Her usual favorite scents of parchment, rain, cinnamon were all there, however the last scent she was unable to define last time was very strong now. Fiona gulped, not believing it.

It was a mixed scent of leather, smoke and cologne. And not just any cologne, but Sirius' cologne.

Her mouth went dry at the realization that the scent she was able to pick up on, was no one else's but Sirius Black's scent.

Fiona, blinking very slowly, raised her head, her gaze landing on Sirius across the room, who had his head thrown back as he barked out a laugh. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach at the sight and the realization dropped onto her hard.
