All eyes were trained upon the bespectacled boy who was glancing between Sirius and Fiona repeatedly, his face going more red by the second.
"This is your date, Padfoot?!" James yelled. "My sister!"
Sirius and Fiona exchanged panicked looks before Fiona went over and grabbed James by the ear, dragging him out of the pub. Remus and Peter watched the scene play out with surprise before following the two siblings out. Sirius watched them go before turning to look at all the eyes now resting on him.
"Carry on with your day, you've all gotten your daily dose of drama." He said, making people jerk and shake their heads before resuming what they were doing. Samantha watched Sirius go with narrowed eyes.
When Sirius went outside he found Fiona scolding James, who was standing with his arms crossed over his chest and a pout on his lips.
"What was the need to create a scene in there?" Fiona asked angrily.
James threw up his arms, "Because you can't be dating anyone, especially one of my best friends! My baby sister can't be dating!"
Fiona let out a humourless chuckle, one that made the hair stand on the back of the necks of the others. "First of all, I'm older. Second, you can't control my life, and I have never controlled yours." James opened his mouth to retort but Fiona cut across him. "I've only ever told you off if you were wrong." James shut his mouth, frowning. "Besides," Fiona dropped her voice, speaking lowly, "we're not on a real date."
This caught the three Marauders by surprise, "What!" The three said in unison.
"Yep, this just more of a bargain between the two of us."
"Well back in there, it certainly did not look fake!" James expressed.
"Keep your voice down!" Sirius finally said and all the attention shifted onto him, no one had realized his presence. James' nostrils flared.
"You!" And he made a move to grab Sirius but Fiona stepped in between.
"Back off."
"Get out of the way, Potter."
Fiona raised an eyebrow, "Oh so you're now calling me by the last name?" She scoffed. "I told you James, we're not on a real date." Fiona pointed a finger behind her, "He needs a fangirl off his back and he promised he will actually put effort into the assignment for Defence Against the Dark Arts if I helped him. It's a deal, not a date." She finished. James stood there dumbfounded, while Remus and Peter processed the new information. Sirius nodded in agreement although he felt a heavy feeling weigh on his chest at those words.
"But inside-"
"It was because that certain fangirl had come in, it was to drive her off." Sirius said slowly.
