Fiona woke up feeling horrible and tired. She blinked several times when she sat up in her bed, trying to recall what happened the night before. When the memories flooded back to her, Fiona's face hardened. The girl had cried the night before, feeling hurt by Sirius. Why it affected her so much Fiona couldn't have guessed, assuming perhaps she liked him as a friend, however the truth was far from that.
Lily was the first to notice that something was wrong.
"Fi," Lily called out, when Fiona returned out of the bathroom all dressed for the day, "You look a bit pale. Are you alright?"
Fiona shot her a weak smile, "Yeah, m' just tired, is all." She answered before slipping out the door. Right as she shut the door, the smile fell off Fiona's lips. She was upset, angry, disappointed at Sirius, yet for some reason, an emptiness filled her whole being and Fiona hated it.
She descended down the stairs one by one, and when she reached the bottom, Fiona stopped. Sirius stood waiting anxiously at the foot of the girls' staircase, shifting his weight nervously from foot to foot. He looked up when he heard footsteps and gulped, seeing Fiona right in front of him.
He hastily opened his mouth but Fiona raised her hand, silencing any sound attempting to escape beyond his lips.
"I don't want to hear it. Leave. Me. Alone." Fiona gritted out.
Sirius shook his head, "Fiona, please just listen to me. I'm so sorry for what happened last night, I just didn't mean to. I reacted-"
"-In a very stupid way?" Fiona butted in, making Sirius' face flood even more in shame than it already was.
"I'm sorry, Fiona. Just give me a chance-"
"Nope, not happening." Fiona glared up at him, making Sirius shut his eyes briefly in defeat.
"Perhaps I would have forgiven you, but what you called me-"
"That word almost just slipped out, I didn't mean to call you-"
"A slut?" Fiona folded her arms over her chest, standing in a demanding posture. "If not that, what else were you going to say?"
Sirius looked at a loss for words, "Fona..." He croaked out.
"I'm done with this conversation, have a good day, Black." With that Fiona began to make her way out. However a hand latched onto her wrist, preventing her from taking any more steps. "Let. Go."
"I really want to make it up to you."
Fiona whirled around, anger written all over her face, "But I-"
"What did you do to my sister, Padfoot?!" James shouted, making both heads and others in the common room, turn to look at the boy by the boys' staircase.
