╚═*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*═╝The rest of the summer had gone by in a flash, the same chaos ensuing each day, and before they knew it Euphemia and Fleamont had bid off their three children to Hogwarts, as the sixth year had begun. As Fiona and the other girls were about to go into the Great Hall, Professor McGonagall pulled Fiona aside. In her office, McGonagall presented a question for the young Potter. Fiona went quiet. On one hand she wanted the position, but on the other hand she knew it would be hard to manage with her Prefect duties and she knew James really wanted this.
"I'm sorry, Professor McGonagall. I don't think I will be able to take the position of Quidditch Captain with my Prefect duties and all those N.E.W.T. classes."
In their second year, James had tried out for Chaser and gotten the spot. Fiona decided to give a shot for a chance to be a Chaser in her third year, after a push from her friends and family. The two twins had grown up playing Quidditch, courtesy of their father. The sport was a part of them. Sirius had tried out for Beater the following year, bagging the position, which also meant he got even more time to pester Fiona.
Minerva McGonagall paused to think, "I think you would make an excellent captain, but if you would like I can transfer the Prefect duty to Miss. Evans to relieve some stress?"
"No, Professor, I think you should give the position to James."
"Very well, Miss. Potter. I will consider your brother for the position. You may return to the Great Hall for the feast."
"Thank you, Professor." Fiona said with a smile before leaving the office and going back to the Great Hall.
"What did McGonagall want?" Maya asked when Fiona took a seat at the Gryffindor table. The other girls looked at her for an answer.
"Just a review of my schedule and telling me of a minor change in the rules for Prefects that was just made." Fiona lied.
"Oh, it's the same old boring stuff then." Marlene said before they all began watching the Sorting ceremony.
