"But, Lily!" Maya complained, "McGonagall is going to murder me for not completing the homework! Again!"
"Well, maybe you should pay more attention when it comes to school!"
The five girls had bonded fairly since their first year and although it was now their fifth year, it felt as if the five had known each other since childhood. They had created many memories already, laughing together, fighting, teasing and more. The bond they had formed ran deep and would rest with them until well after their final breath.
Fiona sighed, as a small smile took over, watching the two girls holler back and forth at each other. Marlene was also watching with amusement, leaning against the headboard of her four poster bed. Alice was humming, drawing something on a piece of parchment, occasionally glancing at the scene from her bed. Maya suddenly stopped, her eyes moving from Lily to Fiona, who was seated on her bed.
She pouted, "Fiona, darling," she chanted in a singsong voice, "will you please let me copy?" Maya asked, shooting the blonde haired pair of puppy-dog eyes.
Fiona was beginning to debate upon seeing the expression on her best friend's face, which she had seen numerous times before. Fiona could see behind Maya that Lily was shaking her head. Giving in, Fiona opened her mouth to answer, however Marlene spoke first,
"I'll help you, May." All heads turned towards Marlene, who was lounging with a grin on her face.
"You're done?" Maya exclaimed with wide eyes. Marlene nodded, earning a groan from the black haired girl. "Why didn't you mention it before? It would have saved me so much energy! Red over here has made me tired." Maya said, heaving a hand to her forehead dramatically.
