It was Friday once again, this time the sixth year Gryffindors were in Potions. Professor Horace Slughorn had the class brew an interesting Potion.
Amortentia.
The most powerful love potion there is.
They sat accordingly wherever they wanted. No more than three per table and had to work as a group to make the potion.
James, Sirius and Fiona were at one table. Sirius and Fiona had been closer for the past few days due to the date on Saturday and they had to display an interest in one another, although the two did end up enjoying each other's company. Remus, Peter and Lily were at one table while Marlene, Alice and Maya were at another.
"Five more minutes!" Slughorn called out.
Once they finished, they were to take a sniff of their potion, to ensure it had been brewed correctly or as best as it could be. Sirius inhaled and frowned. He smelt smoke, broomstick polish, Euphemia's cookies but the last two threw him off.
Strawberries and parchment.
It all smelt very familiar to him but he couldn't place his finger upon it.
The others all inhaled too, releasing content sighs. Fiona smiled as she smelt hers. It was all her favorites. Parchment, rain, cinnamon but there seemed to be a hint of something else too, but the scent was too weak to figure out what it was. The bell rang, jerking people out of their momentary trance.
"There goes the bell! Quickly clean up, leave some in a phial on my desk and go!" Slughorn called out and the students did as asked, cleaning up, providing their sample and hurrying out of the class.
"Well, that was quite fun!" Lily exclaimed. However Maya and Marlene groaned.
"Well maybe for you it was, but it was difficult having to work with Slughorn watching us!" Marlene huffed and Maya nodded in agreement.
"Lucky for us we had our Al with us," Maya said, wrapping an arm around Alice's shoulder, "Or perhaps we would have screwed up big time, am I right in saying that Marls?"
"Yes you are, May."
Afterwards they all headed off to their other classes but soon it was the evening and Fiona was in the library, attempting to finish her homework early on with Lily. Alice had gone out somewhere but hadn't mentioned where, whilst Marlene and Maya were in the dormitory, saying they were going to rest their eyes, which usually meant they were going to sleep.
"So, how are you doing?" Lily suddenly asked, making Fiona look up confused.
"Er... with the assignment? Great-"
"No." Lily shook her head, "I mean, you and Black-"
"What about us?" Fiona questioned, raising an eyebrow in suspicion.
