"Gahh!!! Why does fate hate me! It's just one thing after another. First I get burned, then banished, Now i find out I'm the avatar and have to kill my own father before he Literally sets the planet on fire! Just great! Monkey Feathers!" Zuko curses, adopting Aang's use of vocabulary to not say what he's actually thinking in present company.

"Zuko will you shut up and sit down. If we get any turbulence again you're going to go flying off like last time." Sokka scolds turning back and yelling at the scared avatar.

"Grrrr! You just don't get it do you! I have to master all four elements. I haven't even mastered Firebending!" Zuko yells before slumping against the side of the saddle and throwing his hands over his face.

"Well, I'd say you're halfway there with learning the 36 bending styles for Air Bending and we've only been training for 2 months now. By the time we get to the north pole you'll be ready to get your airbender tattoos." Zuko sits up in shock when he hears this statement.

"Oh no. I'm not getting those tattoos. If you two don't know, they take an obsidian knife, dip it in ink and hit it with a block of wood on your skin to give you the tattoos." Zuko panics, having seen the amount of pain that his sailors go through to get simple tattoos done on themselves.

"Avatars don't get tattoos. I'm saying that you'd be able to get them since you would have mastered 36 forms making you a master airbender. I invented a new form with the Air Scooter and that's what earned me mine. Plus the airbender traditional tattoos are a lot less painful than what you're thinking of, Zuko." This calms him down, albeit slightly.

"Well if you need to practice so much, I think Katara could start to teach you a bit of waterbending. So let's land and find a nice puddle for you to splash around in." Sokka suggests before pulling back on the reins and descending towards the ground below.

Before long they find themselves in a hidden waterfall within the woods, a beautiful small valley in relatively shallow water for them to practice in. "Neat puddle." Sokka comments as Katara looks on in wonder at the beauty of this waterfall. Upon seeing the waterfalls and river, Aang immediately strips out of his robes and jumps into the water. Sighing loudly, Zuko follows suit and removes his shirt before treading into the water.

"Right Aang, just jump into the water without seeing if there's any catfish gators in there first. Good job." Sokka jives sarcastically.

"I'm not sure how the whole waterbending thing is gonna work. Fire Avatars have a very difficult time bending water at first." Zuko reminds Katara as she and him stand on a small sandbar in the center of the river.

"Well it doesn't hurt to start somewhere. You probably burned yourself the first time you firebent right?" Katara questions, getting Zuko to nod albeit reluctantly. "Well we all have to start somewhere. So let's start with just getting the water to move. This is the very beginning of the basics, it took me months to get this down. Don't get frustrated if you can't move it right off the bat, especially since you're a firebender avatar, it's going to be very difficult for you to do at first." Katara explains as she rocks back and forth moving her hands much like the water, managing to pull the water towards her and then push it back again.

"That doesn't seem too hard. I did manage to waterbend when I first met you guys, but that was in the avatar state so I'm not sure if that counts." Zuko responds before attempting to mimic the same movements that Katara is doing. He takes a deep breath and attempts to mimic her movements. He copies a similar movement style to Katara, moving his arms back and forth in the same manner she does. However when he attempts to do so the water merely gurgles and bubbles. Water vapor raises off the surface as he attempts to bend the water, seemingly boiling instead of moving the water.
