Aang looks out at the new firenation colony in horror, the earth kingdom fortress always made him feel so safe and now all he feels is fear. Behind him, Zuko clenches his fists hard enough to make his palms bleed. All his nation does is bring death and destruction and he's had enough. Iroh senses the anger coming from his nephew, placing a hand on his shoulder to try to distract him from the rage building up. Katara, Sokka and Yue all sense the rise in temperature from Zuko's anger but he calms himself after his uncle calms him. "They must have taken over the city recently. There's still damage from the siege tanks." Iroh says pointing out towards the captured city. "The people will be restless, trying to resist the occupation."

"We can't siege a city that large. We're only six people." Sokka says before taking out a spyglass from their bag to get a closer look. "Think we could get the civilians to help us?"

"It is possible, but it's a risk. It's likely that the firenation has already rounded up all military age men and benders to be sent to the prison camps. The only people left would be the women, children and elderly." Iroh says as he takes a seat on a rock and begins to draw up a battle plan. "We can't just walk through the front gates, not to mention Appa would be spotted and shot down."

"I can sneak in." Zuko says before reaching into his bag and pulling out the mask of the blue spirit. "I'll sneak in at night, see if I can find any resistance or king Bumi and try to bust him out. If we all went in, it won't take long for us to get found out. Uncle is as famous to the firenation as my fa- No. The firelord is, and he's even more infamous to the earth kingdom. We also don't have any earth kingdom clothes and you four stand out."

"Not to sound rude, but you're not exactly conspicuous either Zuko." Katara says, which causes Zuko to lift the mask slightly and stare at her blankly for a moment.

"How are you going to get in?" Aang asks as Zuko jumps onto the back of Appa before rooting through their bags for his black clothing to help blend in at night. "There's a sewer drainage on the side of the mountain you could use to sneak in." He suggests but Zuko just gives him a disgusted look.

"Can I use your staff?" He asks prompting Aang to toss him the glider staff. "Thanks, I'll fly in when night falls. For now let's find a place to set up camp. Hopefully somewhere where they won't see the smoke from the fire."

As the darkness of night begins to cover the landscape, Zuko finishes the remainder of a cup of tea and the last bit of rice with his meal. Now full of energy, he ties the ribbons of the blue spirit mask around the back of his head. He places his twin swords on his back before walking over to the edge of camp and opening the glider. With a brisk jump he takes flight heading to the occupied city under the cover of darkness. The moon above him is barely a sliver in the night sky making him nearly invisible as he infiltrates the occupied city. He circles over the lower districts, seeing guards walk through the streets with lanterns attached to their pikes patrolling the streets. "Looks like there's a curfew." He thinks to himself before flying further up the mountain the city is built on. On one of the higher platforms he sees a group of lights walking at a slow pace, and as he gets in closer he recognizes someone he hasn't seen in almost 4 years. A woman, around his age with her hair done up in a bun with long strands down the front of her chest and two twisted short buns at the top of her hair. She's dressed in firenation nobility robes with deep maroon colors that almost look black in the night. "Mai." Zuko whispers to himself before bringing the glider down to land on the same platform.

As he lands, he sees that Mai has another sibling, a little boy probably just a year old at most being held by his mother as they take an evening stroll through the city. "Her father is probably the governor they put in charge of Omashu." He thinks before a sudden movement catches his eye, from above them he sees a few earth kingdom soldiers lining up a boulder to crush them unaware of the fact that there's an infant with them. He sees two of the benders slam their hands forwards causing the boulder to begin to slide down the mail cart ramps at high speeds. Realizing the danger they're in, Zuko sprints across the platform straight towards them as the boulder nears. Mai hears the boulder getting closer and closer, and in the time it takes her to look towards where the sound is coming from, Zuko creates a massive gust of air towards Mai and her family. The sudden hurricane force winds cause them to slide backwards on the pavement, missing the boulder by inches as it whizzes by Mai at the last second. It leaves a trail of dust in its wake as it slides past them. After getting up, Mai looks towards where the boulder had come from, seeing the earth benders at the top of the ramp but a figure closer to her catches her attention. A man in the mask of the blue spirit with a wooden staff in his hands is staring at them. From behind her, her mother points up at the top of the platforms towards the earthbenders and screams, "The Resistance!" She shouts prompting the firebenders near her to shoot a few fireballs in their direction but the earthbenders vanish just as quickly as they appeared.
