Third Person POV

Sean shot up in bed, panicking.

"What did I do? Are you mad because I ate your chocolates? Oh God, wait, did I forget something important? It's not your birthday, or Valentine's day. Did I not put my shoes away? I brushed my teeth. Does my breath stink? I'll go brush them again." he rambled, climbing off the bed.

"Babe, your breath doesn't stink." she said and he halted his steps.

"What did I do then? Why'd I upset you? I'll fix it. I promise." He said, bouncing anxiously on his toes.

"Sean, calm down, I'm not mad at you. I just want to talk with you." she assured him.

He relaxed almost instantly, "Oh. Well don't start with 'we need to talk' then. It makes it sound like your mad."

"Sorry. Let's back up though, you ate my chocolates?"

He realized his mistake. Opening his mouth to speak he paused, trying to find the right words, "I was going to buy you more." he defended.

She rose an eyebrow before softening her facial expression with a little smile, "You're lucky I'm not craving chocolate right now."

Consciously he slowly took a step towards the bed again, and then another.

"Are you scared I'm going to bite you since you ate my chocolate?" she asked with a laugh, making him look up at her.

She had turned to her side, watching him with a smile.

"Maybe you will." he teased, causing her to laugh again.

"Would you get up here already?" she asked, her tone playful.

He sat on the bed, leaning his back against the headboard.

She poked the side of his stomach repeatedly, trying to get him to lay down next to her. But instead he grabbed her finger, leaning closer to her and with a low voice asking, "Yes?"

"I've been doing some reading." she explained and he groaned, sliding down the bed, "I'm going to sleep."

She scoffed, frowning. "Why? You don't want to hear about my reading?"

"Not if we'll be up until three in the morning again." he replied, closing his eyes.

"What are you even talking about?" she asked.

He opened his eyes again, flipping over to face her, "The last time you 'had been doing some reading'" he mocked and she cut him off, "I don't sound like that!"

He chuckled, "The last time you said that we were up until almost three discussing it."

"It's not my fault you love your sleep." she huffed, turning over. "Fine, go to sleep."

He placed his hands around her waist, pulling her to him and biting gently on her ear. "Please tell me what you read about." he requested softly.

He moved his hands to her back, gently massaging it for her as she began, "I was reading about parenting styles. Oh, and baby names! I think I found the perfect one." she said excitedly.

And he knew it'd be worth it to stay up late again. Just listening to her eagerly tell him everything she'd been learning about-- in the free time that she didn't have-- it was all worth it. It was worth it last time too.

It was almost one in the morning when Lana sat up on the bed, a notepad and pen in hand, recapping everything they'd talked about.

"Alright, no swearing anymore. Kids repeat everything and we don't want her repeating swear words. Just because they made a bad choice doesn't mean they're a bad person. No more yelling, it affects Amada, and isn't a good example. If there is an issue we'll separate until we're ready to talk it out, but just because we're mad at each other doesn't mean we punish the kids. We're still responsible for taking care of them. And no going to bed angry. If you have a problem let's talk. Dates at least once a month, just because we're parents doesn't mean we can't date still." she finished.
