Always & Forever

Chapter 4

Lana POV

Saying goodbye to my family after Thanksgiving was hard, but here we are now, December 17, landing in England for Christmas. Sean is so excited, although him trying to contain his excitement is very funny. 

Amada is a bit nervous but she's also very excited, she's only met her grandparents on zoom. They are beyond thrilled to meet her, especially Sean's dad. His dad sends a message nearly every day asking about Amada, how she's doing and wanting to know everything about her. It's very cute. 

When I woke up when we were preparing to land. Amada and Sean were both already awake, talking quietly between the two of them in delighted whispers. 

I went on Tuesday to get an ultrasound so I could find out the gender of the baby. Then, on Christmas we're going to announce it to his family and mine (who will be on videochat) as well as Amada. He doesn't even know what we're having yet and god, it's hard to keep it a secret. I'm so happy. 

I leaned back and closed my eyes again, already feeling like I could fall back asleep. I may not be as exhausted now that I'm in my second trimester but if I am comfortable I can fall asleep very quickly. Which can be both a blessing and a curse. 

After going through customs, getting our luggage, me going to the bathroom- because I have a baby sitting on my bladder- and lots of walking we met his parents at the arrival terminal. 

Hugs, kisses, squeals of joy, and some happy tears later we are heading to his parents house. 

I was listening to their conversation when we started on our way back to their house but leaned on Sean and fell asleep pretty quickly. 

When we arrived, Sean woke me up and we went inside. Their house was much bigger than I had expected and had been newly renovated. I was surprised when it was quiet inside but then remembered Sean saying most of his family weren't coming until the weekend.  

His sister, Katie, was there though and said hello which was nice of her. She also promised that she'd take Amada to the family Irish Dancing school which his parents both happily agreed and decided they'd go too. Katie was just waiting for her friend (who would be arriving soon) and then they would all go and introduce Amada. 

After she was going to drop Amada off here and get her kids, so they could meet. 

Sean agreed after being a brother and teasing his sister about it for a few minutes. Then, him and I went upstairs and into our room.  

I'm not sure how Amada is still wide awake, but I suppose it's because she's young still and not currently carrying a baby. 

"Darling, you should rest" Sean said, quietly. 

I shook my head but closed my eyes anyways "I already did"

"I can guarantee that this bed will be more comfortable than the airplane or the car was, my love" 

"It's okay Sean, really. I don't want to miss anything" 

"You won't. I'm sure they're going to be leaving soon anyways" 

"Well then let's go explore the city!" I replied excitedly

"Lana, darling, we can go and explore the city later today, I promise. But for now, you should rest. I want you to have lots of energy for when we do. If you really don't want to I'm not forcing you, okay?" He said, holding my hand gently. 

"I don't want to be here alone" 

"Oh" was all he said and I could practically see the wheels turning in his head. Then he continued "Well, how about I lay down with you for a little while and then I'll make us lunch and we can go out and I'll show you around?"
