Third Person POV
The door slammed with a loud thump.
"What was that?" Liam asked.
Amada shook her head with a laugh, "You don't want to know."
His eyebrows raised in question.
"Mom doesn't want to be pregnant anymore. And she's uh.... well, kinda acting like a child."
His eyes widened at the new information before laughing quietly.
Amada laid on her stomach, the phone balanced on the headboard as she hugged a pillow, talking to Liam.
Her bedroom door opened before it closed quickly again, Sean flopping onto the bed beside her.
"Hey, pops!" Liam said, as Amada turned the phone screen to show Sean, his face in the mattress as he pulled the throw blanket over his head.
"You okay, old man?" Liam teased, laughing.
Sean instantly lifted his head, glaring, "Did you just call me old man?! I am not an old man. I'm having a baby! Well - I mean, I'm not having the baby, Lana is, but-" he buried his head in the pillow with a groan.
Amada laughed then, turning her head away from Sean as if that would help conceal her laughter.
He lifted his head and poked her, "Don't laugh at me."
She turned back at him, biting her lip to keep from laughing and gave him her best puppy eyes which he only rolled his own eyes at.
She nudged her shoulder with his, turning back to her phone as he tucked the pillow over his head.
"When's her due date?" Liam asked.
"Today." Sean groaned, not lifting his head from the pillow. "Which is fine. Babies don't often arrive on their due date anyway but she's set on having her today. And she's claimed she's tried everything but..."
"I see. Well, it doesn't seem like you're doing much to help her, pops."
"Oh, fuck off." Sean grumbled, "she doesn't want my help anyway"
"He didn't get much sleep last night." Amada whispered with a hand cupped over her mouth as though Sean wouldn't hear it. "Mom couldn't get comfortable so she was up a lot and she had a nightmare again. And guess who was worrying, trying to get her anything she needed?"
"Aww, you're too kind, pops. Would you do that for me?"
"No."
Liam snickered as Amada held back a laugh.
"So, do you have a bucket list?" Amada asked, going back to their previous conversation.
"Yeah, kinda." Liam replied
"What's on it?"
"Top item: spending time with you." Liam said with a grin.
Sean lifted his head, making gagging noises.
"That's so sweet and you're so far away." Amada pouted, ignoring her dad.
Sean continued making gagging noises and she rolled her eyes, "What?"
"That's gross. Please keep it PG-13."
"That was basically G rated, dad. Besides, I'm sure you and mom were the same way."
He scoffed, "No, we were not."
"Really? Because even now you are sooo over PG-13. It's more like... Rated R."
