Third Person POV
Lana laid on the bed, watching as Sean paced back and forth across their bedroom. He's on the phone with God knows who, and is clearly frustrated with whatever they're saying.
His phone was resting between his ear and shoulder as he buttoned up his shirt, standing in front of the mirror.
"Yes, I understand." he groaned into the phone. "But I don't think you understand..."He wandered out of the room for a moment, walking into the closet and returning with a tie.
He lifted his collar, pulling the blue fabric around his neck and began trying to tie it.
"It was supposed to be here three weeks ago!" he exclaimed.
Whoever he was talking to was distracting him and spoiling his mood. After trying three times to tie it, he pulled roughly on one end, and it fell off of his neck.
With a huff, he threw it on the bed, going back into the closet and returning with his suit jacket instead.
"What if she comes early? You said it'd be here, yeah? So instead of sitting here trying to tell me that you don't know what happened, get off your ass and figure it out!"
Lana wiggled to the edge of the bed, trying to get up-- forgetting how hard it is to get out of bed while pregnant-- but when she finally managed, she wandered over to him.
She understood now what he was talking about -- the nursery set they ordered for Mila was supposed to arrive a few weeks ago and still hasn't.
She knew he was frustrated about it, especially since they'd verified numerous times that it would be early so he can get everything set up and ready weeks before, to reduce stress, but she hadn't realized exactly how frustrated he is.
She stood in front of him silently, giving him a warning look and he took a deep breath to calm down. His face turning back to it's usual color instead of the bright red it had begun changing to.
She grabbed the tie from the bed and carefully lifted his collar again. He took another deep breath and then stood still, allowing her to tie it for him. Lana slid the tie around his neck, looping it over carefully, before tightening it a bit to allow a better fit.
He gave her a soft smile in gratitude.
"I apologize, that was out of line for me to say. Please let me know as soon as you can. It is very important." he said into the phone.
He cut the call only a few moment later, after the other persons response and then thanking them and saying goodbye.
Lana placed the collar back down in it's place and took the suit jacket from his hand, opening it and standing behind him. He slipped his arms in either side and shrugged it on, pulling it together in the front and carefully buttoning it.
She placed a hand on the side of his face, gently running her finger across his stubble. He leaned into her palm, all of the tension from his body vanishing within seconds.
He took Lana's lips within his own with such delicacy before leaning his forehead against hers. "Thank you, my love."
She knew those words held so much more depth than just for the tie.
She sighed, pulling her forehead back slightly to look at him in the eyes, "Babe, you can't yell at the poor worker, they're doing what they can and if it's not here within the next week we will just get a different one. There are other options, okay?"
His eyes cast downward, guilt filling them instantly. "I just want it to be perfect." he confessed.
Brushing her hand along his stubble she smiled gently, "I know."
