Mrs. Huma sipped on her tea while her eyes scanned the newspaper. This was it. Jan Divit had made a headline.
Everything was included in there, from there business to her own name.
She was a reputed businesswoman once and people were taunting her. She was a highly respected personality and never considered people beneath her status as humans. Now she was getting fed by Karma.
"This wouldn't happen if I were in Sanem's place,"Polen said watching Huma's face darkened.
"Not that I trust you anymore. I gave you enough time to bring that Jan in your control. But you miserably failed!"
Apparently Polen followed back Jan to Turkey. She expected it was easy to trap Jan now but things had altered.
"Don't blame me. I tried my best. I tried everything that could possibly attract him to me. From surgeries to sex but he never laid an eye at me. Believe me,that Sanem Aydin has casted a spell on Jan."
Huma banged the table shutting her down."Excuses excuses and excuses. I avoid excuses but seems like excuses like me. Are you aware what could go wrong if I fail to bring Jan on his knees? He owns 53% of his father's agency Fikri Harika and all the rest of our business. But my biggest fear is this girl out of nowhere creating a havoc in my dreams. And she is pregnant with his child. That child is an obstacle. I wanted Emre to give the first heir in the family. But my own blood is doing revolution against me."
"You can leave your hopes but I still have something upto my sleeves,"Polen said grabbing her attention.
"I swear Polen if it's something stupid I will kick your ass out of my place."
Polen's eyes beamed evilly,"Sanem was engaged to a man earlier. But somehow their wedding couldn't happen."
Huma suddenly straightened up,"What are you saying? And who is that man?He can be our last straw of hope."
Before they could continue their conversation a loud cracking sound diverted their attention. They both rushed downstairs to see a group of guys unloading things from a van and bringing them inside.
Out of them Huma saw a baby cradle being carried inside by a guy. She stopped him midway snarling at him,"Wait wait wait?!What do you think you are doing?"
"Mam Mr. Jan ordered these things and told us to deliver them on this address. Please let us do our job,"the guy replied continuing to what he was doing.
Huma invaded to where things were leading to see it was Jan's room as expected. Her eyes bulged out when she saw things spacing in the room.
There was a convertible electrical swing,baby car seat,stacks of nappies,baby dresses,baby shoes,linens and blankets,baby tub, disposable wips,baby towels,washclothes,baby ointments,toys,baby carrier and what not!
Huma felt her head turning into a steaming pressure cooker. Steam escaped her ears and nose as she yelled on the top of her voice,"Is this a house of a reputed family or a freaking nursery?"
"Which nursery mom?"
They heard Jan's voice. Huma changed her expression to faking a big smile as Polen adjusted her hairs. They still had to remain in his goodbook.
"Nothing honey. Baby, can you please tell me why have you ordered all those baby things? Are you planning to gift them to someone?"
"No Anneim, your daughter-in-law will be shifting to our house. So,I am preparing everything in advance."
"Ehh?,"Huma was stupified. Jan had a sandwich in his hand which he chomped on before extending it to Polen,"Just try it once. I made this after a long time.Say me how does it taste?"
She happily took a bite chewing it while praising him,"Jan it's delicious. How can it be bad when you made it yourself? Between did you made it for me?"
He generously smiled,"No silly. I am preparing lunch for Sanem. I just cross-checked if it tasted right. You know I can't feed her something bad."
Saying he left off there whistling happily.
"He is already spending so much for that witch, imagine if they actually come together then Jan will shower every last penny on her and that baby,"Polen said clenching her teeth. She couldn't digest the type of attention Jan was giving to Sanem.
Huma was in fire. "I will see its end. Search for that man you were talking about and arrange a meeting. Remember that nobody should get a slightest idea about it. Specially Jan."
