"Are you sure you want to go there alone?" My mom asked me, while handing me a box of cake she had cooked earlier.
I nodded while grinning widely. I was very giddy and pumped for this, I just want to fly in that house right now. "Yes, mom! I know where it is! It's just along the street over there."
My mom giggled and ruffled my hair. "Okay, okay. But be careful," my mom warned.
"Of course, mom. I will be," I replied. "Bye, I think I need to go, already, mom."
My mom shook her head, "No, not yet," I gave her a confused look but after that my face lit up. "Of course, mom! I won't leave without a hug." My mom opened her arms wide as I went to it and gave her a very tight hug. She tightly hugged me back, and I think I could lose my breath anytime soon. "Mom, you can let go, now."
My mom chuckled, "Of course, of course. You can go now."
I nodded and waved my hands at her as I went outside the door. I practically hopped towards the house and I saw the familiar gloomy house I have seen yesterday.
I looked around and after that reached for the doorbell but my height can't reach it. I jumped just to try to reach it, but I still can't. If only mom was here. I was about to lose hope when a boy suddenly went near me. I looked at him and gave him a look. "Are you here to visit the new neighbor, too?" I asked the kid.
The kid looked at me blankly and I felt myself getting nervous. "No. I'm here because this is my house," he said flatly.
"That's kind of rude- but wait. You're the new neighbor! Aigoo! I've seen you yesterday on the window over there. Aish. That's why you look fami-," I ranted but the kid didn't let me finish the sentence and just went in like I wasn't even there.
I sighed. Why is he so rude? The kid left the door open and I didn't know but I wanted to go in. The kid didn't even tell me to go in, but why did he left the door open? Maybe, he wanted me to go in, he just didn't want to say it because he's shy. That's why he's been acting rude, he's just shy.
I smiled and went in. The place was dark and very gloomy. It was even gloomier that how it looks outside. Maybe, they did this on purpose. The darkness of the place was very bothering and I haven't even noticed that there was a banana peeling. Good thing, I avoided it before I could step on it. "Ha! Thought you could- WOAH!" I slipped and I didn't even know why. I think I stepped on something but I don't know what is it and the cake- where's the cake? No. No.
It was dark and my eyes were having a hard time adjusting. I just placed my hands on front and tried to feel for the box. "Where are you cakie cakie?" I hummed because I was getting scared of the dark. As I was feeling for a box, I suddenly touched something small and- I kept touching it and I noticed it was a feet. Wait. A feet. I screamed loudly and stood up but something held me and I was sure I was about to die. "Hey, calm down, kid."
I widened my eyes and eventually breathed out. I thought I'm going to face a ghost. But who said that? I looked at the person who said that but it wasn't clear since the room was kind of dark. "Who are you?" I asked.
"Do Kyungsoo. And this cake tastes delicious," he heard the guy said cheerfully.
I let out a chuckle. "Of course, my mom cooked that!"
"Come on, let's go upstairs to my room," he invited and I just nodded. I followed him upstairs and I was having a hard time keeping up from his fast pace but I still tried. He stopped in front of a door and went in after that, and so did I.
