Baekhyun was at Chanyeol's house, sitting on the couch while observing the giant's actions. He noticed that the guy was clearly off and wasn't in his usual hyper self, making him wonder at what happened to him at school.
"Chanyeol?" He called, gaining the attention from the guy, "Do you have something to say?" Baekhyun was supposed to ask if he's okay but he suddenly remembered what Hyuna had told him yesterday. I got jealous. He was starting to think that this has something to do between him and Chanyeol, and by the looks of it, he thinks the giant already knew about it. And he hoped he won't lie to him.
Chanyeol hesitantly nodded and looked at Baekhyun in the eye which was full of anticipation. Looking at the smaller's eyes makes him feel weak and made him think twice whether he'll tell the guy or not. Sighing, he looked away and admitted, "I don't know. It's..."
"Complicated?" Baekhyun continued for him, "I think my life's complicated enough for you to not to tell me."
Chanyeol shook his head. "No, Baekhyun. You don't understand-"
"What do you mean? I can understand. Just tell me what is it," he cut him off, impatience depicted on his tone.
"But-"
"Just goddamn tell me what is it!"
"You..."
"What?"
"Our..."
"Chanyeol!" Baekhyun whined impatiently, although he knew Chanyeol needs some time to tell him, he was growing very impatient at the moment.
"Baekhyun, it's not that easy," Chanyeol said, trying to let him understand how hard it is for him to tell the guy.
"How come?" Baekhyun asked.
"It would hurt you. And I don't want to hurt you," Chanyeol confessed in a low voice.
"Truth hurts, Chanyeol," he sighed, "But covering the truth hurts more to those whom you have lied."
Chanyeol let out a breath. "Sometimes, I don't even know if we have the same age."
Baekhyun chuckled. "I was a teacher. 'Guess that's normal," he remarked, "But don't change the topic, elf. Tell me about it."
Rolling his eyes at the nickname, Chanyeol decided to just tell the guy but before that, he warned him. "Brace yourself, okay? Don't tell me, I didn't warn you."
Baekhyun straightened up. "I'm braced as ever. Now tell me," he said confidently.
"Baekhyun, this is not just a joke. This is serious. I almost exploded at this. You don't know how much I want to punch everyone about this," he warned him again but this time, he was stern and serious.
Baekhyun slumped back on the couch. "I know, Chanyeol. I'm not that stupid to feel that you were having a hard time telling me about it. It must be big then," he said genuinely, "It would be fine... But as long as you're not going to military or anywhere far from me. It is going to be fine."
Chanyeol sighed, "Okay, but that's not going to happen, okay? My life's just meant for you and I won't be risking my life to any other but you only."
"And?" Baekhyun uttered in impatience. It was such a nice thing to say. It could have been appreciated if Baekhyun wasn't waiting for anything.
Chanyeol gave out a snicker before his face dropped into a worried one. "Baekhyun.." he started, "They already knew."
"Knew what?"
"Knew about us."
Baekhyun went quiet and his face dropped into a blank one. He didn't know if he's going to be hurt, or be angry, or be frustrated at this. "What did they say?" He asked. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to know because he knew it would just hurt him at the end.
