Chapter 13: The Blessing of a Curse

My brother is planning something bigger than what he leads on about. Something big is going to hit us, I can feel it. The only question is "when?".

For the last three days I have been trying to figure out his stragity and yet I have nothing. It's like he's clouding my sight. This is dangerous and yet I feel like I can do nothing but wait.

Loral has not awoken yet and now I fear she never will. She has pretty much lost her soul to that monster. The chances of her coming out of this alive and well are slim.

What has got me even more worked up is what hades said to me. He did this for what purpose? Killing an innocent young girl will accomplish what exactly?

And what love was he talking about? I have not had someone to love since-no! I will not think of her again. I told myself never again shall I fall for a women. They are deceitful creatures who once they have your love and affection strip you of everything you care for.

Women are not to be trusted, their all the same.

"Master! Its The young woman sir!" Athos panted as he ran full speed into Zeus' chambers.

Zeus quickly arose from his seat and met Athos half way. "What about her? Has she left us?" Zeus worried over the girl.

Athos shook his head violently and ushered his master out of the room and down the hall to his personal chambers where he let the girl rest.

Zeus barged into the doors and was taken back. The sight before literally took his very breath away.

There, Loral sat by the gold pained windowsill humming to herself. Her long black hair flowed down her back in long thick curls. Her skin was tan and glowing. Her face held innocents and young beauty alike. Her beautiful blue eyes were no longer black voids and her figured had returned from its hollow state.

The very picture of beauty, a goddess. Zeus thought.

Deep inside him a stirring came forth. One unknown to him, for in all his years he had never experienced such an awakening of the soul.

A warm and overbearing feeling pulsed through him and settled in his very core. A bubbling of feeling entered him and scared him.

He had once felt this stirring for another but not nearly as strong and welcoming. A feeling he has hidden, locked away in his stone cold heart never to be seen again.

A feeling that unbeknown to him entered his soul and took over. One that made him feel alive and yet a prisoner of his own heart.

Love

Four little letters that forever change him, for the better? No, it changed him for the worse. Before love he was strong, kind and loved by all for his generous spirit and fair ways. But once love entered him it was taken away without warning, without remorse and it was brutally killed within him.

He became harsh, cold and ruthless. That is what he is known for now. He merciless ways and his harsh behavior in battle and home.

And yet here in this moment, one look at a young women he had not officially met before and every feeling he surprised came flooding back to him in a wave of emotions. He had no control anymore, he couldn't understand his feelings toward this kind soul.

This was his brothers mate and yet in one look he had fallen in...love. This was of the greatest of crimes and yet he could not stop himself from loving her.

And then it came to him, hades new this would happen. He knew what I would feel for this girl and use it against me. This is what he wanted! This is definitely an act of war!

To have feelings for another's women is the greatest crime and is looked down upon among our people. If word gets out about this we will be at war.

But why? Why do I feel this for a woman that does not belong to me?

Reeling back into reality Zeus looked away from his beauty and to his servant.

"Have her dressed in our finest garments and bathed in our most expensive perfumes. Tonight we celebrate a new life, born to the gods!"
