surprise!... pt.2

Marley's POV

  I'm 18 weeks along now and in my second trimester. I've got an itty bitty baby bump now. I have to exercise, eat healthy, and take lots of vitamins. The baby isn't doing much but, my doctor says that should change in about a month.

  Me and Tito are out getting brunch, he got a loaded bagel but I got some avocado toast and orange juice. It's good for the baby I think. We were waiting for our food and I looked at him "thanks for the food.." he smiled "of course love" we held hands and I smiled at him "I love youu" I sipped my orange juice and he smiled back at me, kissing my hand.

  Our food got to the table and we ate our food. Then we had to go to Target and get all my vitamins and supplements and things. Tito pushed me in the cart and I told him everything we need. Then I sat up too fast and got dizzy. "I hate you." He pouted at me "love you too, asshole" I checked my watch "I have an appointment soon. Hurry up!!" He glared at me "do you want your snackies or not?" I sighed "the appointment is in a half an hour!" He looked at me and sped the cart to the self checkout.

  So we jump from Target to the doctor and I'm in the waiting room. I just feel a little kind of flutter in my stomach and I look at Tito "..I think the baby just hiccuped??" Tito looked at me "Fetuses hiccup?" I nodded and rubbed my belly "I think if everything goes well, we should be able to see their gender today!" He nodded "I want a boy." I rolled my eyes "Of course you do."

  We held hands and then I got called and we went to the room and the nurse asked me questions and checked my weight and blood pressure. Then I sat on the table and waited for my doctor. I rubbed my baby bump  and mumbled to myself "I wonder if I can schedule me and our baby's pediatrician check ups for the same day.." The doctor walked in "Marley, nice to see you!" She sat down. I waved "Good morning Dr. Didio"

  She sat on her doctor stool "How's everything been going with your pregnancy?" I smiled "not bad. It's a little exhausting.. not as much anymore but especially in my first trimester. And I've been eating a bunch of ice.." she nodded "are you getting your proper vitamins and iron? You know the baby is taking a lot of that nutrients. It's like a parasite almost." I shrugged "I take prenatal vitamins.. occasionally." My doctor looked at me and looks at Tito "you've got to keep her on track with taking her vitamins and eating good!"

  She looked back to me "You probably have an iron deficiency, I'll write you a prescription after you give birth." She stood up "I've got to do blood tests and an ultrasound. Hopefully we can find out the baby's sex if they decided to cooperate. " I nodded "my right arm has the juicy vein.." she nodded and got up "gonna get my nurse to get the needles and the stuff for your ultrasound. I have to do a MSAFP just to make sure you're baby is not at risk. " I nodded and she left again.

  Tito looked at me "you didn't ask her the question" I shrugged "I'll probably be able to. That's how your mom does it with all them kids" he nodded "fair enough..' my doctor and her nurse came in and I started rolling up my sleeve. "Wanna know what's kinda crazy, Doc? When I found out I was pregnant, It had already been like two months since my last period"

  Tito nodded "The girl was so stubborn, she carried on like everything was fine and dandy even with morning sickness. She didn't even think of pregnancy as a possiblity until my mom said something.." I giggled and nodded "so It's been like four months. Like it's so crazy, by my sixteenth birthday, I was already like ten weeks along! Now it's like May third so I've been kinda pregnant since like January fourth."

  My doctor nodded "do you want a hello kitty bandaid?" I smiled "yes! Then put that gel on my abdomen and find out what gender my baby is!" She put the bandaid on my arm and then I laid down in the little chair and they started getting everything ready. I pulled up my shirt and the doctor put the gel and got the other thing and started looking in my stomach.. well, my uterus.

  "Your baby looks pretty good and healthy.." she's kept looking "do you see it?" I nodded and looked up at the screen "are they sucking their thumb?" The doctor nodded "looks like it.." Tito looked at the screen "Can you just tell me what the gender is?" I frowned "I don't wanna know yett I want a gender reveal party, that'd be so cute." The doctor nodded again "Look away really quick" she kept looking at the screen and I just covered my eyes. She whispered something I couldn't even hear. Then she wiped off my belly "Well, your baby looks absolutely perfect. You're good to go home!" I rubbed my baby bump "Thank you Dr. Didio" I got up and grabbed Tito's hand, then we walked out the office

  "I have school tomorrow.." I groaned and we got in Tito's car. He looked at me "Well so do I?" I shrugged "you're about to graduate tho" he rolled his eyes "and in 5 and a half more months, I'm going to be taking care of a baby.." I shrugged "well, at least you two will share a birth month..? They may come a little early so it depends but I should give birth some time in early October or Late September." He nodded "Libras..." I smiled "this is going to be my favorite Libra in the world.."

  We went back to his house and he handed me an envelope "your doctor gave me the ultrasound pictures" I nodded "I'll look at them at our gender reveal party. I don't want any spoilers.." Jermaine came downstairs "Oh looks who's back.." I hugged him "Hey.." He pat my back "How're you feeling, girl?" I smiled "I'm great! Tito knows the baby's gender now" he looked at Tito "really now? Please tell-" I shook my head "No spoilers!" Marlon ran down the stairs "Hey guys! Hi Marley!" I nodded "hii almost birthday twin" he ran to the kitchen and I sighed.

  "Can we go upstairs Tito?" Tito picked me up "Of course we can sweetheart." I held onto him and we went up to his room. Tito sat me down and looked at me nervously "so um I've been wanting to ask you something for a hot minute now..." he was interrupted by Janet bursting in and handing me a bag of frozen grapes "Momma said these are yours! Can I have some?" Tito looked at her annoyed and gave her some. She smiled and ran off and I popped a grape in my mouth "continue.."

  Tito sighed and locked his door "so er uh yeah I've been meaning to ask.. will you marry me? I mean as soon as possible, as soon as you turn eighteen, I swear I will give you the fairy-tale wedding of your dreams and love you unconditionally for all of time. And our baby too. I'll give you the world. You're my everything, Marley. My food, water, and oxygen. I need you to say yes, if that's what you feel ready for.."

  I stared at him and put a grape in his mouth "I thought that was already decided.." he smiled "That's a yes..?" He mumbled with the grape pocketed between his teeth and his cheek. I nodded "of course I'll marry you. I'm already an honorary Jackson, I can't wait to be a real one.." he hugged me and pulled me close.

  "Your were a real Jackson when I introduced you to my parents." I smirked "You introduced me to a lot that night.." He giggled and kissed my cheek "That's how you got that baby bump, ain't it?" I buried my face into my hands, embarrassed "It is I suppose.." we laughed and he held me tight. We ate grapes and snuggled up on his floor.

  "When are you gonna tell them we're officially engaged" he shrugged "probably when I get my fairy-tale princess her fairy-tale ring to match. Ooo! That'll be soon so you can show it off at Prom. If you're going.." I looked at him "you still want to go..with me? And the baby bump? Does anyone know you've got a baby on the way? Because if the media didn't know, they're going to find out that night" he sat for a second "huh. I don't think I told anyone really.. they'll find out soon because I already bought our tickets and your dress, if you wanna wear the one I picked out." I looked at him "you know my size?" He nodded "I mean yeah you gave me your measurements for something else and we always measure your bump so I took that information, picked out matching suit and dress, gave the tailor our measurements and let him handle the rest! Y'know? I wanted to surprise you.." I kissed him gently "you've been doing so much for me lately, I dearly appreciate you. You're my universe. The photosynthesis to my cellular respiration." Tito thought for a second "we need each other to work?" I nodded "I'm glad you got my nerd metaphor.."

  We sat and talked until dinner and Momma made some french onion soup with the cheese and everything. It was delicious, it's one of my main cravings. Then my fiance- that just felt so right. So perfect... my fiance had to go out to his car and get all my vitamins to take and snacks to eat. I took all my supplements and hung out with all the Jackson brothers for mostly the rest of the night.
